The "What should I say when..." thread.
I've noticed that there are tons of DU topics that focus on what a person should say when a Republican tosses a catchphrase at them. Like now, people are making an issue of the fact that John Edwards is a trial lawyer...the best response to that is, "so was Abraham Lincoln."

Maybe this thread will take off, maybe not. Let's see.

1. "Edwards has no foreign policy experience."
"He's got more than Dubya and Reagan did combined when they entered office."

2. Saddam moved his weapons out of the country!
With what? The massive convoy that he coated with special "anti-spy sattelite" magic?

3. "Kerry and Edwards both voted for the Iraq War."
Actually, they voted for the authorization of force based on the false WMD "evidence" and al-Qaeda links provided by the Bush administration.

5. The variation on that I hear a lot is:
"Kerry and Edwards are the richest two people to ever run for pres/VP."

I wonder if Bush's enormous family wealth and Cheney's CEO earnings get factored into that.

7. "Edwards is a wealthy trial lawyer" . . .
. . . "who protected children who had their guts ripped out by defective pool drains."

It's hard to argue against that one, isn't it?
