1. Since Edwards joined the ticket I am more excited than I ever have
been about this election.

I always thought Kerry would be a good leader but know that Edwards is on the ticket I think it gives the DEMS a lot of energy and spirit.

It's a winning tickey. America will find that out come November.

4. I would have preferred a Dennis/Howard or vice versa ticket, but
I must admit I feel a little bit better about Kerry since he took Edwards on as his veep, mostly because of the stupid "electability" issue. I think the repub reaction to his selection shows that they know how damaging John E's charisma is going to be.

6. The repukes are shaking in their cowboy boots
I too would have liked to have seen DK or Dean or both on the ticket but I can honestly say I'm really confident about the ticket we have and I'm going to do all I could to help them get elected.

7. I really think the only way they can lose is if * cheats again.
Too many right-leaning folks are disenchanted with one or another of the junta's fiascos to support them.

9. I believe you are right
Not to sound over confident (There is still four months to go) but it seems like the DEMS are united more than ever, especially since the Edwards decision. It seems like everyone in Congress is very pleased with that choice.

It also seems like you said, the right-wingers are collapsing and there support is tender right now. I think you're going to see some right wingers and many of the swing voters come the DEMS way. I think they are really starting to wake up and they are now admitting that there is a need for change.

2. I am very excited
I would vote for Senator Kerry no matter who he selected but John Edwards is a wonderful choice and will be a great running mate.

3. call me jaded
or uninformed.

I didn't really follow either the Kerry or the Edwards primary campaign, so my knowledge of their positions on various policies and topics is limited, but I do think I like Edwards a bit better than Kerry; based, I guess, on the simple fact that he is a one-term senator, and so possibly not as compromised, as Kerry.

I will vote this ticket*, and if they manage to overcome the BBV scam and actually win the election, I will push hard to support moving the direction of this country to the left, and toward supporting we the people rather than they the corporate overlords.

* I do expect they will be officially nominated at the convention, but until then, I will continue to support Kucinich.

5. Yes, emphatically. These two guys really complement each other.
The complement each other in styles, personality, geographic region, you name it. Kerry was insightful enough to look at the big picture when making his veep selection.

And, as Kerry joked this morning, they both have "great hair!"

8. really excited :)
I was off DU for about a month & the news brought me back :)... I think it's great.

It was really groovy to see all of them standing there on TV this morning at the "farm" ... I mean what a great looking group... compare that with *'s hit squad and Cheney squaking out of the side of his mouth... w is so visibly upset by it- so obvious this morning at the press conference (I wonder if daddy can buy junior out of this one)
