What "stalking" generally means is that he's going to follow you around whichever message board it is and post nasty remarks about you on all the threads where you post. He'll check the posting history on your profile and methodically go to every thread on it.

You've also got especially dim ones who claim to be hackers who can find your home address and stalk you in the real world.

Best thing to do is just ignore them and report them to the moderator.

and yes, I'd LOVE to see the bastard's face rearranged! He cyberstalked me and the Missus and actually CONNECTED with folks we knew/were friends with. He'd found our names on the Internet and did some sleuthing, after one of us had disagreed with him in Usenet. Did a fair amount of damage... but no matter... if he EVER shows his face IN PERSON, he's in for a few shots... er... shocks, I mean...

Would I harm him if he showed up on my doorstep?

Like the other poster said, it generally means they will stalk or follow you from thread to thread, flame you and when you counter, they will report you to the moderator. Then, your posting rights will be revoked (temporarily - couple of weeks) and they will post questions to you demanding a response, knowing full well you cannot respond, and when no response is forthcoming, they will ridicule you to the others on the thread.

They are idiots - they cannot handle intelligent arguments and/or the facts and when you post reasonable posts that challenge their positions they freep.
