Presidential Pardons.
I know that Bush will Pardon Ken Lay, whether he "Wins" or Loses. His father pardoned people involved in Iran-Contra.

People were making a big deal out of Clinton's 150 last minute pardons. What were the people that Clinton pardoned involved in? Was it Whitewater? and why did they go to jail?

But as glad as I am to hear that Kenny Boy is finally being indicted, he will not get his, at least not in this life. I wish he would but he won't. Bush will pardon him, no matter what.

1. He can't pardon Lay without making another gigantic flip-flop.
"Since the exposure of the corporate fraud scandals, the President has taken decisive action to combat corporate fraud and punish corporate wrongdoers."
And much, much more at:

Busting corporate crooks is part of his platform...his hands are tied.

2. It won't matter if he flip-flops when he's out the door anyway.

5. He won't be able to pardon himself
Unless he decrees another Executive Order that he is immune.

Who's going to keep his feet from touching the ground when he is no longer the resident?
