I think Bin Laden is dead |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-07-04 11:48 PM by u2spirit
I think he died 2 or more years ago. There are several reasons I beLIEve that we will never know one way or the other as to his whereabouts. First, the cabal in charge wants the perpetual war, and Osama is the perfect Bogeyman for such. As has been pointed out on numerous threads, Bin Laden is the reality version of Emmanuel Goldstein from 1984. If they trotted out Bin Laden's corpse, a large portion of the sheeple will see that as "mission accomplished." This administration never wants to have the public feel that the war on terra is over. Secondly, If Bin Laden were captured alive or dead, the official knowledge of his capture would make him an even bigger martyr figure for jihadists worldwide. Also, his need for Dialysis makes living in a cave damn near impossible. Bottom line, Bush needs Osama, Osama needs Bush. Their Ilk are cut from the same cloth.

1. I can't imagine the U.S. not being able to find this guy |
|
For me to entertain the notion that the United States, with all its superior intelligence and military prowess, can't find a near 7 foot muslim on dialysis takes some work.
I think he's either dead or for some reason Bush wants to lay off. Why? I don't know...

how does he keep issuing public statements? I may be a bit naive, but I'd like an answer to this question.

He hasn't for years now. I think it's about time we reversed this one on him.

4. Lots of folks think the same thing. |
|
I honestly don't know. He would have to have some serious medical attention to stay alive with kidney disease. But, somehow Eric Rudolph stayed alive and undercover for more time. I doubt if he did it alone.
If OBL is still alive, he has some explaining to do.

I'm not sure. I'm tending toward the idea that he is still alive, hiding out in the Tora Bora mountains of Afghanistan.....or maybe he's laying out by the pool in Indonesia.
Seriously though, I know he's in bad health. But we should never underestimate him. He's (was) a very smart man, with lots of money. He even has (had) his own satellite.
Hard to tell.

7. I posted a long time ago, that it would have been impossible for |
|

him to stay alive for this long of a time with end stage renal disease. For one thing the supplies needed are extensive and only a few companies worldwide supply and manufacture them. It would take some doing to get bootleg supplies and a sterile place to do dialysis in a cave in Afghanistan or very many places in Afghanistan unless the present government is sheltering him.
The only other possiblity would be if he got a transplant. Now with all the dead bodies around in Tora Bora, it's possible there could have been a match, but where would this surgery have been performed? The nephrology community is very insular worldwide and someone would have known about this.
I think he has been dead awhile too.

I'm not sure whether he died naturally or in a bombing, but I think he died in an indirect enough way where our forces wouldn't know he died, and his people decided to pretend he is still alive so that they don't seem weak.

10. Of the 6 audio tapes purpotedly made by Ossama |
|
we have been told that voice acoustic analysis is consistent with Ossama's voice for at least 4 of them.
He has several sons who may be able to mimic the sonority of his voice.
Bush sure did turn attention or mention of Ossama in hurry probably for the very reasons listed above.

11. I was a Marine in Afghanistan in '02 thru '03 and |
|
I read a briefing that claimed that he was absolutely dead and buried in a cave in the Tora Bora region. Supposedly, cell phone intercepts positively identified him and several GBU-12's completely destroyed the cave complex that he was calling from. The brief also described the equipment and manpower necessary to excavate the site and pretty much concluded that it was all but impossible. Might have just been more bad intel, but I tend to believe it.

Let's assume this is true and the military briefings confirmed it.
Why would Bush not jump all over this and use it as political fodder?

For all I know, there's a massive dig going on at the site right now. I didn't leave anything behind when I left Afghanistan, so I don't plan on going back.

13. Aside from a possible "October Surprise" they haven't needed Osama |
|
Now they have a new Phantom Menace in Hopalong Zahrqawi who has been supposedly killed 3 times, allegedly has a pegleg, and can yet tackle and behead some dude within 5 seconds without losing his balance (never mind the 12 hour gap in the tape).
Hell, as long as you're making it up as you go along, it could be Elvis Al-Presley for all we know.

18. No effective Osama replacement ... |
|
They've been trying REALLY hard to turn Zacharias Moussaoui into an effective surrogate for Bin Laden. So far, I they've failed. It probably has something to do with Moussaoui having an amputed leg AND being dead.
In any case, I don't see the value to the administration of eliminating Bin Laden unless another uber-terrorist can take his place in the state of Terrasia.

17. Do we know for sure Osama had fatal renal failure? |
|
I know I've heard it stated many times, but how do we know this?
I have always found it interesting that this guy is supposed to be extremely tall compared to other arabs, and really stands out, even at a distance. Why it's been impossible for someone to find him is quite amazing to me.
Could it be that he isn't sick at all, and hiding in a very elaborate cave complex?

there is no way to supply it with the elaborate necessities. I know there could be ways, but I'm sure they wouldn't be that reliable under the circumstances.

24. Complex enough for escape... |
|
To get a good idea of the extent and complexity of these cave complexes and the subterrainian routes between and among them, you would have to be able to converse with a host of smugglers as well as some representatives of Chinese Triads. I am not sure the British were ever able to gain an accurate picture of the reality. And if * and crew are using old British intel and their recent limited info good luck to 'em finding this fellow.
As recently as June of this year there have been additional statements from bin Laden that seem not to have entered the mainstream.

and has been laying low in the mountains along the border. With the help of locals who knew the caves he may have been able to get out during the daisycutter bombing of 2002.
Our ability to find anybody, anywhere is overrated and the locals in that region don't care about the almighty dollar so bribes wouldn't sway them.
Do I know any of this for a fact? No, but I have a hunch that this might be the case.

I bet Bush has him in a nice hotel somewhere and is helping to mastermind the TV spots and will pull his friend and co-conspirator out at just the right time.
