My Prediction: Bush loses election--pardons Ken Lay! |
|
Can you pardon someone BEFORE they are convicted? Should be an interesting list anyhow.

2. Bush the elder pardoned pre-emptively |
|
Christmas Eve, 1992. Poppy pardoned everyone who had been indicted in the Iran/Contra investigation, those who had been convicted as well as those who had not but were likely to be so.
The chimp will do the same thing, he will proactively pardon everyone in his cabal that might do time for 9/11, thus eliminating the possibility of meaningful prosecution and probably avoiding any further investigation at all. Enthusiasm for more inquiry will drop dramatically if no one can be held accountable under the law, as we saw with Iran/Contra... once the perps were given their get-out-of-jail-free card, the whole issue fell off the radar of the average American within a matter of days.

5. if bush pardoned lay, i would imagine |
|
one of the thousands of people who had their retirements ruined by lay's scam would take justice into their own hands. lay's body would be found a week or so later in little pieces.
in fact, i'm surprised lay's still walking around. texans can be a pretty surly lot. i wouldn't screw around with their retirement money and expect to stay alive.

10. The money he stoled from employees was pocket change. |
|
The money he stoled from California and in the stock market will buy a pretty secure lifestyle. Surly Texans won't have a shot at him when he's kick'n back in Switzerland or the Caymans. Their only hope is to trust in the honesty, decency and respect for the law of George W. Bush. ....BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! When Bush pardons him they should go squat on the pig farm in Crawford.

6. I think so too, its WAY |
|
past time to end the Presidential pardon. It is used to cover crimes and corruption and needs to be stopped cold. I don't know why it was started, but it needs to stop in order to end this cycle of criminals in Washington. I am almost willing to bet a paycheck when he does issue his pardons NONE of them will result in the firestorm of media "outrage" that ensued during the Rich pardon.
