Will Kerry announce a withdrawal date at the Convention?
Kerry should promise to bring at least 90% of our troops home within 6 months after being elected. I think that's enough time to build a coalition and, even if it isn't, I don't see evidence that Iraq would be worse off without our protection. If he makes a promise like that, I think he'll get a lot more votes.

Do you think Kerry will do anything like that at the Convention?

2. Absolutely not. That would be setting a trap for himself
so if it didn't work out he'd be painted as a failure after only 6 months

6. Totally Unrealistic
These kind of suggestions are non-productive.

As long as the Kerry/Edwards team seems to know what they're doing and I think they do, dems should refrain from backseat campaigning and support them. The repugs learned this long ago and that's how they have beaten us since Reagan. They stay on message and get their guy in office so they can get their programs and policies in place.

8. I don't think he should, and I support immediate withdrawal
Military decisions shouldn't be based on political deadlines.

cheney ups until he gets in there (takes office) to see how bad they really are? I have read on this board that what we know about how cheney up'd our nation is may only be the tip of the iceberg. Time limits are not realistic.
