Poll question: How Big A Mess Has Bush Made ?
Even Republicans know he has made a mess - even if he admits it or not. The only question is, how big is the mess?

1. The mess is big, but...
The leaders of today include those many DUers believe will change the paradigm. Unfortunately, the problems of today are never solved by the minds who create them, nor any that think in side their boundries. Is it a big mess, yes. Is Bush to blame for most of it, yes. Is it fixable, yes. Are Kerry and Edwards going to revolutionize politics and world policy, of course not. They are going to play the game, the same game that got us here. Two senators who voted for the war are supposed to get us out of it... Doesn't that seem like backward logic?

2. There is a political reality to deal with in regards to the war....
No doubt about it. However, I do not know if either Kerry or Edwards are as set in stone about the Iraq policy as the Bush regime. I think they may start withdrawing troops? I hope so. The troops are only targets in a pigeon shoot and are serving no useful purpose, other than minimal security and cover for the puppet regime.

4. Not while they are saddled with the NSA
and the tremendous bureaucracies in the State Department and Pentagon, they won't! You could elect a raving socialist libertarian and give him a Congress that's 100% sympathetic, and you still wouldn't be able to affect it much.

You'd think that since the cold war is over, they'd at least dissolve the NSA. You'd think that since we have the CIA, they'd abolish the Pentagon's intelligence offices (since they've now lied us into 2 disastrous wars). You'd think a lot of things, but these bureaucracies are harder to get rid of than urban cockroaches.

5. If he's out this January, a good democrat should be able to fix it
If he gets another term, it may be too late.

6. It seems the majority do not think it will be fixed in our lifetimes??
I wonder if most of America thinks similarly? Of course, I realize we could not assume that from this small sampling of DUers...
