If Kerry/Edwards loses, it's America's fault
If this strong, solid ticket loses, then it will no longer be Bush's fault, it will be America's. If we, as a nation, do not choose articulate, informed, compassionate, and enthusiastic candidates over what we now know of Bush, then I will give America the contempt I now reserve for Bush.

3. Keep in mind,
Kerry and Edwards need a strong lead to counteract the illegal voting tactics that will be used during the elections.

5. I think the UN should be called in to
monitor this election, so that Brother Jeb can't steal Florida again for Smirk! It's done for other countries where the possibility of a free and unfettered election is in doubt-why not HERE?!

4. Yep
I've long said that if America is dumb enough to genuinely elect George Bush to another four years, then another 4 years of George Bush is exactly what we deserve.

7. Don't forget about the black boxes
Remember, Gore was elected in 2000 - it was the Supreme Court that made the Electoral College give the votes to Bush.

8. What if Kerry wins the vote, but Bush just steals the election AGAIN?
Is that America's fault?

Remember: America DIDN'T WANT BUSH IN 2000.

10. Yes--we should care enough about our vote
to make sure it gets counted. Now that we know that they will attempt to steal, it's our fault if we don't stop them.

12. It's "rigged" from the start....
As I've tried to point out in several posts....neocon psycho religious rightwing has carefully used convoluted moral logic to establish a core base of voters.

They have also specifically capitalized on the electoral college in this regard....which will be problematic now in any presidential election.

Let's look at the 3 primary moral issues they've leveraged that all have successfully been sold as a reason to HATE liberals:

a. gun control and related issue war in general - liberals would take away our inherent security and don't really have the guts to do the right things to protect our nation
b. abortion - liberals BELIEVE in abortion...possibly the most insidious moral problem that they have.
c. religion and values - liberals don't have any real values or moral and they are generally anti-religious in nature.

Each one of these has been carefully crafted and driven into the minds of unsuspecting Americans over years. The truth is....each one of these is A NON-ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!

So effectively the neocons have taken health care, the economy, and their profit oriented destruction of America off the table.

But...they have successfully spread this crap and still have a core base of about 40% of the public at this point. If you want to hate America....you can start right now hating this portion of the public that has their head up their @@@.

But if you want to be mindful of all of this...you'll realize you don't want to HATE anyone...because that is EXACTLY the mode the neocons want you to be in. You see hating each other and being in a constant state of divide perpetuates their owning the bigger piece of the pie.

Now what this election will come down to is the swing vote. Just yesterday we heard some good news...that about 10% of the swing vote is saying they'll vote Kerry because of his choice of Edwards. OK, we'll take it of course. Now what about the rest?

My take on things is that there is a considerable women component of the swing vote that will have had it up to here with Bush, particularly because they are sensitive to A-hole liers in general....and they have enough women's intuition to know that the war in Iraq was a miserable idea.

What you really have to fear at this point is how many of the usual democratic base of poor and minorities won't get it right this time around. The neocons have been specifically targeting these people with their moral values bullcrap and claim that they have made some significant games. They also have been clever to promote the line that recent growth over the last 3 years is an indication of a strong economy. We have to wonder how many will fall for that line of crap.
