Michael Moore has shown us that people must SEE for themselves

I've been watching Cspan this morning and been highly gratified to see so many examples of Dems standing up against abuses. For example, Sen Tom Harkin brought up the fact that it's been 360 days since Valerie Plame was outed, while Sen Maria Cantwell jumped all over Enron and the Regulatory Commission. When you see the Dems making their intelligent, reasoned cogent speeches, you can have no doubt that, in fact, we do have representatives standing up for us.

To that end, been thinking about the media through the internet. Most people are not going to, by happenstance, go to Cspan to accidentally see their Sen or Rep talking about some issue. But if these instances were recorded and then hosted on a server in the relevant state, with pointers to the states, it would be possible to create an alternative media, but one that shows the reality of the actions of those who represent us. Same thing with local government proceedings, recording them and then hosting them on a server for others to see.

All the time here someone is calling out for a video clip or example of this or that. It would be great to have a bank of media clips that pertain to our legislature, that could be watched on demand.

Or perhaps someone is doing this already? Seems to me that this is one way to take back the media, but by using the internet.
