who turned Liberal into Librul. "That tax & spend Librul!" he would say when referring to Clinton. I always refer people to the dictionary definition of the word then proudly state that I am a Liberal.

I proudly pronounce it right in their spluttering faces. Conservatism is for selfish people who are afraid of change, unable to deal with complexity and want to force everyone to be just like them. It's a model of dealing with the world based on fear of change or the unknown, and its dynamic is oppression and persecution.
Liberalism is based on the humility that it's all a work in process, and we all need to pitch in to make it better for everyone.
Rub their noses in it.
It's like what Bill Maher says (who's DEFINITELY not a liberal, and is true to his colors): "look up the word in the dictionary, there's nothing wrong with that word."

6. I have proudly enjoyed the title as a liberal. |
|
To be thought of as a conservative would mean that my heart had shrunk to the size of the grinches.

7. They are trying to make it a bad word again |
|
They tried to make Kerry out as a liberal and a bad thing, but it didn't take. Now they are dragging it out again for Edwards. It is not going to work again.
We are liberals, and proud of it.
