I wish someone were keeping track of these alerts... |
|
..and noting the headlines and major news stories the weeks they occur. I'm sorry I'm thinking of this too late, but man....it's not even conspiracy theory thinking or anything. Every week these come out there is always some other big news out there not favorable to you know who. But without data its just speculation.

1. This one is probably because the House is debating |
|
on whether to limit the Patriot Act. Bush has stated he does not want the Patriot Act lessened. Yesterday Saunders added this amendment on the the Patriot Act to lessen access to records. Today they are discussing it and will vote. So the terror alert was raised this morning to heighten the debate on the floor and make them not change the Patriot Act.
Just my opinion.

This one is because of Ken Lay, and the Kerry/Edwards announcement, and even to a lesser degree the soldiers from the past 2 days being killed and throw in a dash of F911's success as well.

One alert, many diversions.
