Ken Lay is on TV now in Houston! |
|
Saying he wants a speedy trial, hoping to begin by early September. I guess he wants it over so DimSon can pardon him before his ass is blown out of DC and back to hell-hole Crawford.

7. He was frog-marched earlier. |

Well, no leg irons, but they cuffed him and had video on CNN. Still, he got out awfully quickly and was back on TV really fast.

On Enron, but I think it is wrong that the vested employees were unable to sell...

He was telling them to buy the day before the Board canned Fastow (or Skilling?), and that all their shit smelled like roses. Meanwhile he was dumping his stock. A real low-life shit, IMO.
We need video of Bush hitting the campaign trail in the ENRON jet in 1999 and 2000.

Maybe you can use the money to teach your kids about ethics. Or perhaps one can't throw money at these kinds of deficiencies. People lost their lives savings, and you're here crowing about your killing? The perspective store is having a sale, there, Warbucks.

What law(s) is Lay actually being accused of? Being incompetent is unfortunately not against the law.

It is a federal crime to lie or materially mispresent facts to the public as part of a securities offering, which includes some of the accounting games that Enron is accused of playing. I believe that's the crux of most of the charges.

bank fraud (see, it's illegal to misrepresent the financial state of your corporation to banks to obtain lines of credit), wire fraud (much the same)... and conspiracy (if two or more people are involved)
Note to self... if you EVER decide to commit a felony, for god's sake, don't TELL anyone or ask someone to help you... you will serve about 1/2 the time without the conspiracy conviction.

now, would you please send a check to every person in the State of California, who Enron ILLEGALLY bilked for at least $9 Billion, but the resulting damage in direct terms of higher long term energy contracts the State was forced into signing, will cost over $25 Billion. The indirect costs from those market manipulations may be well over $200 Billion or more.
So spare us some loose change, we'll each take $1000.
That will cover my PG&E bill for about 4 to 5 months... if I don't run any AC. I think that not only should we be able to sue Enron and the other energy companies, but also the executives and traders for their personal assets, AND the investors for THEIR PERSONAL assets.
See, morally, you might as well have taken a flight to San Jose, tracked me down on the street, pulled a gun and said "give me $5000 over the next 10 years". To me, it's the same thing. Hope you enjoy your market winnings.

14. Even if he's convicted before Jan. 2005-- |
|
Bush will NOT pardon.
Lay made his own bed and now he is going to sleep in it.
Just watch.
