Barf alert! This poll completely contradicts yesterday's NBC poll (a 12 point swing)!! What helped Chimpy so dramatically? Fahrenheit 9-11? Edwards' lack of charisma compared to the matinee idol looks of Cheney?? :wtf: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040708/ap_on_el_pr/presidential_ap_poll

7. All the "good" news going down, huh? |
|
I saw the first Bush bumper sticker I have seen in ages yesterday. They've cut Cheney off. It said "Bush 2004 Because one good term deserves another."
Good term? Just WTF would a "bad" term look like? Never mind - I don't think we want to know (if they steal this election - we're gonna see one!) Who the fuck could possibly fall that stupid sales pitch - since Bush is widely considered the worst pResident in history??

Some pollsters assume that there are an equal number of Democrats and Repblicans, and so if 60% of the respondents say they're Democrats who are voting for Kerry, and 40% say they're Republicans who are voting for Bush, the pollsters will adjust the result to say it's 50-50.

Maybe those two words have more in common than just ryhming. They are both imposters and manipulative.
The only thing polls tell me is that if its close near Nov. 2nd, there will be widespread cheating going on again.

Kerry goes up in almost every category, but he loses track? Yeah, that makes sense. And I love the commentary. Is that from people that were polled or the man on the street? That's a puff piece.

|
(from the linked article)
"I want Bush in there, because the other guy is like sending a boy to do a man's job," said Glenn Foldessy, 45, of Streetsboro, Ohio, outside Cleveland. Foldessy, who usually votes Republican, said Edwards made the Democratic ticket stronger, but not strong enough.
"We have somebody now who's established and has things on track and if we destabilize this government during the war on terror, that's playing right into the hands of the terrorists," he said.
gee, watch Fox News much, Glenn??

depends on where you live ... in small-town N.C. you may be surprised ... the real question is how the Republicans have managed to get people like that to trust Bush and believe he "shares their values" and distrust one of their own in John Edwards because he's one of those "evil trial lawyers" ... I'm just hoping the urban areas in the state hit the polls hard to give Kerry a chance here

Bushevik pattern prior to ALL "elections" they are rigging.
Real polls come out showing Kerry (or Cleland, or Gore, or Landrieu -- they couldn't quite steal that one but the pattern is the same) ahead. Perception being everything to Orwellian Monsters like the Imperials, their natural response is to return fire with a rigged poll will will maintain the fiction that the election is close.
You know close enough to STEAL?
I never realized how much I absoultely LOATHED the Soviert Communists for their constant lies, their fraud, their detesting of Common People...until the Busheviks revived Stalinism in a kinder and gentler Free-market form.
They remind of why I hated the Soviets so because THEY ARE SOVIETS. Free-Market Soviets.
I imagine this "poll" will come from the same Bushevik Mockingbird that the "Exit Polling" which, of course will now ALWAYS agree with the Diebolded or rigged result.
If Ron Fournier isn't a Bushevik Infiltrator or Mockingbird, he works for one. My guess is that Ron Fournier or his boss are also involved (in charge) of the AP "VNS" New Orwellian Exit Polling Divison (where ALL results agree with the Party Predictions).

from Greg McNeilly, some jerk-off flunkie from the Michigan Republican Party:
"Unlike the Democratic Party, where 'D' stands for disenfranchisement, we want voters to have choices," he said.
I presume he means as long as they're not African-Americans who live in Florida. Sometimes I can't decide whether to laugh or cry.

It's one poll...and who even knows how accurate it is. We have to realize that it's VERY difficult to unseat an incumbent and with the war on "terra" George Bush has all the frightened rabbits eating out of his hand. Our chances are very good...the ticket has benefitted Kerry TREMENDOUSLY. It's like night and day how much more relaxed and confident he comes across. Things are NOT going well for Bush but even so there will be people who will resolutely dig in their heels rather than open their eyes and see how bad this administration has been for this country. I suspect this poll included a lot of those type of people. Don't let this ruin the VERY REAL sense of optimism that you got from the past few days.

30. I believe the poll is correct. |
|
Allowing for the margin of error of course.
Face it, nearly a 50% of Americans are ignorant and very easily duped. The Repugs and the corporate media have been pushing how much "better" Iraq is getting, how much "better" the economy is getting, and how liberal Kerry is.
The stooges will buy it. That's why this will be a tight race.
DU'ers who think otherwise are giving their fellow Americans way too much credit.

34. (sniff sniff) I smell ROVE! |
|
So Mr.Rove is quoted directly in an AP Poll story that defies logic and recent trends. As a "poll tracker" you have to believe the good with the bad. When was the last time you saw him quoted directly?
The conditions for a Bush victory are all there — a strong economy, an improving position in the global war on terror and a growing sense that there are sharp and clear differences in values between the two campaigns," said top Bush adviser Karl Rove.
He probably wouldn't throw his name in there unless he was sure what the result and all the touchstone phrases are used.
This paragraph preceeds the Rove quote. Taken directly out of his notebook with generalities and "The sun rose yet again today under PRESIDENT Bush's leadership" spin.
Bush has been buoyed by a stream of economic data pointing to an economic recovery, including a plunge in unemployment insurance applications reported Thursday by the Labor Department (news - web sites).
Now someone explain to me where these numbers came from and what in the hell that means.
Bush gained ground among suburban women, a key constituency that increased its backing for Bush from 41 percent in June to 52 percent.
His ratings on handling foreign policy and the war in Iraq, while low, remained steady or slightly improved. The poll was taken shortly after Iraqis gained limited control of their new government.
