Any bets Rove/Homeland Sec. will try to disrupt the Dem convention? |
|
I could see a big fat alert on the day of Kerry's speech.

Now we wait for a preventive response to thwart possible terrorist attacks.

I don't think they'll do much about the Dem convention (unless they march Bin Ladin out of Packistan), I think it's more likely that thet want to stop protesters from showing up for the GOP convention.
I have said this before. Expect heavy handed police action against dissenters in the early days of the GOP convention. Expect a raised terror alert and lots of media complicity. Shrub can't afford millions of protesters in the streets, so he will try to crank up the fear so people stay home. It didn't work in Feb. 2003 before the war and it won't work now.
Cheney was loudly booed at the Yankee game he attended last week when they showed him on the jumbotron during the seventh inning stretch. Ithink they're scared of NY anyway, and the reception won't be friendly.
Please come to protest! If you're like me and drift between great hope and great concern, coming together will help turn the tide.
