What was up with Ridge during his terra alert?

Perhaps he thought he was reading "My Pet Goat"...did anyone else catch the odd, almost chirpy/cheery inflection of his voice? We were listening to NPR when we heard it this evening on All Things Considered...could it be that we have another misadministration member on mood altering substances????

the topic of post-poning the election was brought up. He somehow knew that's where the conversation was heading. Wonder how he knew that???

he has no clue. which is probably a good thing, HS would be a nightmare if controlled by a maniac like Rumsfeld. It would turn into a Gestapo overnight.



Then again, Ridge's pathetic handling of "Homeland Security" has resulted in nothing more than a Clairol color chart.

Some weeks ago I remember dialing 411 and asking for the number for Homeland Security. They had no clue! No listing, no number, no address, no hotline.

Some front line in our "war on terror" - they can't even hire some schmo to answer the phone.

... perhaps this botching of security is on purpose, to allow an October Surprise and postpone the elections... for the preservation of democracy.

In fact, if they would postpone the elections, it will probably be done in just that sort of newspeak... a smirking Bush would appear and mumble: "We're postponing... uh, the elections... uh... to preserve freedom... to show the terrorists... uh, that freedom will not be effectualized... uh... by terra. Godblessmerica."

In between catastrophes for the bushgang reelection campaign that require some "terrible" distraction, he doesn't have anything to do.

Since the "terror" is about 99% phony and the "homeland security" efforts are hollow, mostly designed to train us to be subservient, his job is pretty empty in between the times he gets to announce that the sky is falling.

7. I think Ridge actually has a conscience buried somewhere

I get the sense that he's not exactly comfortable lying to the entire country the way the BCE masters require him to do. Which is probably why Asscrotch has had to pinch hit a few of the terra-threats.

Too bad he doesn't have enough of that conscience to blow their fucking scam wide open on a live TV feed.
