Pentagon Says Bush Records of Service Were Destroyed
By RALPH BLUMENTHAL

Published: July 9, 2004

OUSTON, July 8 - Military records that could help establish President Bush's whereabouts during his disputed service in the Texas Air National Guard more than 30 years ago have been inadvertently destroyed, according to the Pentagon.

It said the payroll records of "numerous service members," including former First Lt. Bush, had been ruined in 1996 and 1997 by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service during a project to salvage deteriorating microfilm. No back-up paper copies could be found, it added in notices dated June 25.

3. I remember last year when we were protesting the war
I would have never thought all the revelations that have come out since then would have so soon....let's not give up hope.

4. Well, "everything" is a lot of stuff
So I don't know if everything will be fine -- but it'll work out some kinda way. Think about it, though: If BushCo weren't screwed they wouldn't have to have records destroyed and issue phony terror alerts. They are Cheneyed, not us. And what's more is they know it. You should be enjoying these pathetic thrashings of a failed Presidency. I'm laughing my ass off. :)

7. How about...
"Despite all the computations
You could just dance to a rock 'n ' roll station
And it was alright."

Instead of "Everything will be alright".

9. Sorry, I don't dance.
Or to put it more accurately, if I am drunk enough to want to dance I should under no circumstances be allowed to do so. This is for the safety of others. Really.

10. Maybe you just need the Velvet Underground
Jenny said when she was just five years old
You know there's nothing happening at all
Every time she puts on the radio
There was nothing goin' down at all
Then one fine mornin' she puts on a New York station
She couldn't believe what she heard at all
She started dancin' to that fine fine music
You know her life was saved by Rock 'n' Roll

5. As they say, "I took the red pill."
I read way too much sci-fi as a child, so I recognize some of the "tricks of the trade" so to speak. Orwell may have been off a few years, but he did a damn good job prognosticating what we're beginning to see lately. When it gets to be like an H. P. Lovecraft novel, then I want the first ticket off of this rock.

6. No, I won't back down....I will stand my ground...
No matter what, I am going forward. Attack,no attack...we will have to vote sometime and I already have my candidate picked out..it ain't Bush.

If these guys want to play hardball, then we will have to play hardball. It's sad but after awhile, we gotta do what we gotta do.

This is America. This is a democracy on the verge. DON'T BACK DOWN.

Don't panic. Fight back!! We'll all be behind one another!

8. Weather Report Suite:
Prediction: A Very High Probability for Low-Lying Bullshit. Coupled with a 80% chance of overblown warnings and stratospheric amounts of rhetoric and hyperbole.

An actual attack? Who knows. If they can get the same result just by hyping one, it's much cheaper for them.

14. If we are attacked again, will we need to vote to change leadership?
If an appointed "leader" (like Bu$h) consistently proves incapable of protecting the people s/he "leads", then it is the responsibility of all the people to insure their own safety by quickly removing that ineffective leader and finding a better leader that will protect them. I don't recognize Bu$h as the elected leader of my country, and the 9/11 attack has only shown me that he has no clue about what he is doing.

How can we put up with a weak leader that, through proven incompetence, is a threat to our safety, security, and lives?

If another attack on US soil occurs, it is all Bu$h's fault, just like the attack on 9/11/01 was.

Bu$h has already illegally assumed the position of Commander-in-Chief, and has been a failure at it. If we are attacked again, he is a bigger loser than before. If Congress does not remove him, and we are a government of, by, and for, the People, then we obviously must remove him ourselves, and install another, more capable leader, if we want to be safe and secure.

15. the sun gets up in the east and goes down in the west
sooner or later bin laden/al quaeda will attack or attempt to attack the u.s., duh!
isn't that the reason why we shouldn't have helped them gain more recruits with this stupid war in iraq?
if bushco had been doing their job from day one then maybe bin laden/al queada would be less of a threat today.
personly, bushco's ineptness represents a threat as great as bin laden/al quaeda.
leadership? the kind of leadership that gets three thousand plus people killed in a single day -- oh yeah! i wanna vote for that.
