BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A U.S. soldier has died of wounds he suffered in fighting in Baghdad late Thursday, a U.S. military spokesman said.

The death brings coalition deaths -- both hostile and non-hostile -- since the start of the war to 1,000. U.S. military deaths now total 880, with 657 of them by hostile fire.

3. Yeah, but to far too many Mericans, it matters not a whit how Iraqis

are killed and maimed, how much their infrastructure and antiquities are destroyed, and how much of their land is forever laid to waste by use of DU. Surely it's not the love of Jesus that makes so many Mericans oblivious to/uncaring about the killing, suffering and damage inflicted by our advanced and sophisticated multi-trillion dollar weapons systems which has been unleashed on a third world people.
