Election Terra ists Martial Law
A question for all DUer's

If the United States has another Terra ist attack before the Election
(God Forbid) and not that GW Bush is protecting us anyway.
If GW Bush tries to declare Martial Law and cancels the Election
what would you do.

Do you rise up and start a Civil War
Will you fight in the streets
Will there be a Military coup

What do you think would happen

3. What if the dems want to postpone the election?
Lets say "terrorists" strick the Dem convention and kill Kerry and Edwards. Or they strike even closer to the election.

What happens then? The dems won't have a candidate to run. Would the dems want to cancel the election?

There is no way to start a civil war without the support of state governments. I don't think that would happen.

People are so pissed off at Bush now for all the lies, etc. I think we are in for 8 years of Kerry, then 8 years of Edwards.

Happier days are ahead.

6. not gonna happen
Despite the "Election" of 2000, democracy is too much of a sacred establishment...even as POTUS and with control of Congress, I don't think that Bush could "cancel" an election...it's very far-fetched and unprecedented.

7. Like nothing unprecented has happened during and since the Coup of 2000
:silly: :silly:

Actually, the Imperial Invasion of Iraq does have precedent in Hitler's invasion of Poland.

9-11 has precedent in the Reichstag Fire

The unPATRIOT Act has precedence in Hitler's Enabling Acts.

The Impeachment of Clinton and the subsequent deaths of Carnaahan and Wellstone has precedent in Imperial Rome.

Karl Rove has a precedent in Goebels.

Coulter/Hannity/Limbug et al have precenednt in Julius Streicher.

Fox "News" has a precedent in Der Sturmer and Soviet Pravda.

Perhaps you're right, now that I think about it.

:silly:
