Did anyone just see that?
Did anyone just see the new BUSH campaign ad on CNN?

Kerry missed all these important votes while he was out campaigning.
A vote to help fund the troops.
A vote to help the elderly with health insurance.

This is such an evil ad.

1. It's true...BUT...
Edited on Fri Jul-09-04 03:37 PM by Claire_beth
Kerry was scheduled to be there the day the vote was supposed to happen but the GOPER's called for the vote EARLY (or delayed the vote so he wouldn't be there) because they knew they could use it against him like they're trying to do. They have the option to do a re-vote and Kerry told them to re-vote it and he would vote. Did the goper's allow for a re-vote? of course not.

2. Here is an article that came out yesterday with Kerry's response.
Bush ad assails Kerry for missed Senate votes

By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press

Last Updated: July 8, 2004, 03:05:00 PM PDT

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - President Bush questions Democrat John Kerry's priorities in a new ad that mentions Laci Peterson, the pregnant Californian killed in 2002, as it attempts to paint the Massachusetts senator as out of touch with most Americans.

The 30-second commercial, which starts airing Friday, is part of Bush's first major advertising effort in nearly three weeks. The commercial criticizes Kerry for missing "over two thirds of all votes" in the Senate while campaigning, and asks: "Kerry has his priorities. Are they yours?"

Kerry's campaign countered on Thursday that that the Democrat's priority has been serving the public for more than 30 years - as a naval officer in Vietnam, a county prosecutor, a lieutenant governor and a senator. And, the campaign questioned how Bush could argue about absenteeism when the president has spent at least 233 days at his Texas ranch since his inauguration in January 2001.

Bush's $8 million, two-week advertising push - in local media markets in 19 states, on national cable networks and radio, and in newspapers - includes the re-election campaign's first foray onto North Carolina's airwaves to defend traditionally GOP turf from ads by Kerry.

5. The time has come for this nonsense to stop...
He needs to address it in a way the public understands.. It's all so juvenile.. like "inviting" someone you don't like to a party ..but giving them the wrong address and date..

All he needs to do is to tell it like it is..

With all the technology that exists today, there is no reasoon on earth why they cannot vote by "teleconference" call..

They should be required to "attend physically" a minimum number of "in-session" days, but these guys are always "out of town" for all kinds of reasons..

I wonder how many votes the repubes miss when they are on their "fact-finding" missions..

He needs to nip this in the bud....and in public..

6. So, tell us what the vote count was on both bills, and then tell us what..
...riders were attached to those bills.

If the votes were lopsided in favor of the GOP, would it have even mattered if he did vote?

And if there is a rider that Kerry disagrees with, he's NOT going to vote for that kind of bill.

There is ALWAYS more than meets the eye when the NeoCons start playing "holier-than-thou", and you should know that by now.

"Evil ad"?? Yes it is, because it was produced by evil people.
