Brad Sherman's vote on the patriot act??

Anyone know why Brad Sherman, who is normally a pretty straight shooting democrat, cast the deciding vote to defeat the democratic sponsored measure to curtail the Patriot Act???

2. Correction -- apparently the NYT had it wrong -- Sherman didn't vote

with the repukes after all according to CBS news.
