What are your feelings. Does this story have legs? Is it credible since it appeared in the National Review? I thought it was going to be a bomb-shell but the press seems to be ignoring it. What do you think?

OBL is dead and has been for a while. They will have to defrost him before they present him.

6. He's either dead in a freezer or a captive in who knows
whose hands with a big price tag tied to his toe. They would be idiots to bring him out during our convention...way too obvious.
Give Rove a little credit - stupid he is not - tricky he is.

3. Where is Waldo and how many people really care?

Our * has already said that OBL was no big thing to find.

There are so many new terrorists without a Kidney Issue. Young and eager to prove themselves now that OBL and Saddam have been neutralized.

How much of a bounce did the mock beginning of Saddam's case bring? Not much!

4. Of course bushco put pressure on Pakistan
This is a given. Like waving a carrott before a hungry rabitt.

Pakistan wants "Major non-NATO" pal status and whatever hardware that would come with it.

Whether or not they actually come up with any high value bad guys doesn't really matter. They can always scam a story for a few news cycles and alter it as they see fit.

5. It's for real... for really desparate Republicans.
Yes, they really are eager to bag this guy since voters seem to expect the president to go after a man who murdered thousands of Americans. Imagine. It's a little early in the game for Bush to be going for his hail mary passes like this. It's just to show how out of control of world events the administration is.

Our side really should be making hay of the fact that Bush didn't give a damn about Osama bin Laden until it started to cost him politically.

7. Osama and Mullah Omar have been living in the Bronx.
They have a tiny studio above the greasy diner where Osama works as a grill cook. Yesterday, they got into a fight over which one of them was supposed to clean out the cat's litter box this week. The fight ended when Mullah Omar yelled, "See if I bail your ass out again!" Angered and hurt, Osama stormed out and spent the rest of the evening sulking at the coffee house down the street. His depression was greatly exacerbated when he compulsively grabbed for his beard, which he had shaved clean upon his arrival. Upon returning that night, Mullah Omar was asleep. The litter box was still filthy, and Osama scooped it out. Even as he tried to sleep, he kept replaying the fight in his mind. Perhaps he could convince Mullah Omar to find a two-bedroom in Jersey, he thought, drifting off to sleep.
