For Super Smart DUer's (or anyone else that knows what I am talking about)
I am writting a essay about Fox New's Fallacies

need sources and websites for quotes from them so I can do my documentation correctly. I thought there was a site called mediamatters or medialiesdaily (I think that is a DUer though) and need some help. I have no trouble typing long essays but my googling skills aren't as sharp as they should be (I am a networking/computer geek). I need examples of like AD Hominem, misericordiam, populum, bandwagon appeals, begging the question, circular reasoning, false analogies, false dilemma's, faulty use of authority, hasty generalizations, non sequiturs, post hoc, ergo propter hoc, red herrings, slippery slope, stacking the deck arguments that Fox New's and it's host/anchors have made about anything.

I do know what most of those terms mean, just haven't really had any luck finding some examples since I am just now starting to learn this stuff in my college composition class.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

6. My mistake -- it's an ORG, not a COM
www.fallacyfiles.org

That should do it.

Also see my longer list below.

14. Thank you Tace
I googled some things and didn't really come up with much. Now if it comes down to finding drivers and linux stuff, I am good to go. When it comes to mispeak and political stuff, my google skills are in the toilet just like bush's poll numbers!(I think that is a AD Hominem. See, me go college go learn stuff, lol.) Thanks again!

17. Faux "news" still insists on using the term
"homicide bombers" - a term coined and then actively promoted from the white house propaganda machine back when Ari Fleischer was still the priss suckretary.

Where is the logic in this term? Do not most bombers intend to kill others? Are our pilots dropping bombs also homicide bombers? Of course they are. All bombers are. It's a deliberate attempt to end run around what any reasonable person must ask. Why and how could a person come to be so passionate about a cause that they would deliberately terminate their own life just to be a part of it? How could so many have come to hate us THIS MUCH?

It's easier to feed an ADD public fortune cookie sound bytes they can rally around like "they hate our values" (wait, is that the terrorists or the Democrats? ..... same thing) than to explore our own role in this revolution of the insane. We did give Saddam millions........... millions at the very least. We supported him and he was not the first evil dictator we did support. We continue to support oppressive regimes with tali-ban type ideologies, namely, The House of Saud........ a.k.a. Saudi Arabia.

Open up that can of worms? Oh, hell no. We're faux news. We distort, you decide.
