Is Bush Ad. mention of Osama a set up for his impending "capture"? |
|
Apparently, if we listen to the Bush administration, Osama is back to planning attacks on us after lying dormant for 18 freakin' months. With the New Republic story coming out about a July capture of al qeda big wigs by the Pakistaanis are we primed for an Osama "capture" in the coming weeks? Why else would the administration mention his name after all this time unless they were setting themselves up to succeed.

1. you betcha. And the whores will report it straight as an arrow. |

You think Stretch, and Pancho, and Aaron, and Tweety, and Timmy don't see what's up just as clearly as we do? You bet your sweet real American asses they do. But unlike real Americans they do not give an eighth of a shit. They will play it just the way Hughes wants them to play it. Then they will say, "please baby please gimme some more."

We need to keep him alive to keep the justification for the corporate war to keep going.

5. I don't doubt that they'd love to do it... |
|
but I can't see them pulling it off. I wouldn't put it past them to capture an OBL double, announce it, then hide him away in Pakistan til after the election.

8. I'm with ya. I just don't see the terrorists playing ball here. |

If OBL was already captured or dead, I have a pretty strong feeling the Al Qaeda network would let the world know about it already. He would be an invaluable martyr and rallying-point.
I really do feel we underestimate the enemy, the real enemy, as suggested in the recent CIA expose by "Anonymous."

9. OBL is Bush's best running mate... |
|
but OBL isn't going to give up just because Bush needs a bump in the polls. I'll put money down on OBL dying of natural causes. He's smart, rich, and he's thrived in a nasty business.
While we've been screwing ourselves in Iraq, Osama has been quietly rebuilding and securing his area of operation. To get him, Bush would have to admit Iraq was a herring and pour all of our forces into the Pakistan/Afghanistan region. He won't do it and the Pakistanis can't; OBL is nearly as powerful and more popular than the government.
