Rove polls GOP Congressmen on the DRAFT! They give Bush their support
Family Circle has an article on the DRAFT, "Could Your Child Be Drafted?" and I found this!

For example, last fall, Presidential advisor Karl Rove polled Republican members of Congress on how they felt about he draft. They said they’d support the president.

3. I notice you can legally block your child's name from being
given to military recruiters in school.

4. Yes and if you don't do that you actually have to call your Congress rep
to get the recruiters off your kid's back.

They will call every week.

5. They can do what I did
I told them I was dead. It didn't occur to me to tell them I was gay. They are tenatious though.

6. They called me when I was a senior
And tried to offer me a pair of free Army tube socks if I just came in and talked with them. I laughed in his face and asked him, "Which sounds better to you - four years of college on a scholarship or X amount of years sleeping in a large room with dozens of other guys thinking to myself, 'At least I got some tube socks out of the deal.'?"

He never called back.
