Lil Russ (tim russert) blowing a headgasket
on CNBC.

He has Mario Cuomo on who is demoloshing his criticism of Farenheit 9/11. Timmy wants Mario to say it isn't accurate.

Mario says it is meant to ask questions, and lists all the questions that haven't been answered.

Tim says but he showed Iraqis being happy before the war. Mario says that 15,000 innocent Iraqis died in the war, and that people are generally happier when they are not being bombed.

You can tell Russert is mad. Its great!

2. Russert is no match for Cuomo
I never understood how these media people get to their positions--it must be all connections and a willingness to bend over. :(

3. "...people are generally happier when they are not being bombed."
Ya THINK?

I can't BELIEVE that one of the complaints about F911 is that it shows happy Iraqis! ESPECIALLY from a supposed journalist! -- using the term loosely, of course, when it comes to Russert.

Is the fog of propaganda THAT thick that Americans are incapable of seeing people in another country simply living their lives?

It just blows my mind -- no, worse than that. I am absolutely sickened and disgusted by the mass brainwashing that so effectively dehumanized the "other" to such an extent.

Un-cheneying-believable...

6. No kidding, do people think everyone was miserable as hell
BEFORE we got there?

Do they think that children didn't laugh or play or fly kites?

Not everyone was happy, and bad shit was happening, no doubt . . . BUT as Cuomo said, at least then they weren't being bombed into smithereens!

Jeez. WTF is wrong with people that they can't get Moore's point on this topic. Thank goodness Cuomo broke it down for Idiot Tim Russert.

9. Brainwashing is not too strong a word for it either.

Brainwashing America
by Dr. Norman Livergood

<snip>

In an earlier article, I reviewed the varied aspects of personality profiling and simulation. While serving as Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the U.S. Army War College, 1993-1995, I conducted studies on profiling, psychological programming, and brainwashing. I explored and developed personality simulation systems, an advanced technology used in military war games, FBI profiling, political campaigning, and advertising. Part of my discovery was that:

* unenlightened human minds are combinations of infantile beliefs and emotional patterns

* these patterns can be simulated in profiling systems

* these profiling systems can be used to program and control people

Personality simulation systems are being used to create political campaigns that apply voter profiles to control their voting behavior. TV commercials and programs use personality simulation to profile viewers to control their purchasing and viewing behaviors. And sophisticated propaganda and brainwashing techniques are being used by the Bush junta to keep American citizens under control.

4. The showing Iraqi's happy Repug talking point is bullshit!
Naturally all the media whore and losers like Russert can only think of that to mention.

Wasn't Moore's real intent with those scenes to show that the Iraqi's were normal human beings? That they didn't deserve to be bombed to hell based on lies? He wanted the audience to connect with their humanity, not show Saddam's Iraq as a people's paradise.

Idiots like Russert aren't worthy of anyone's attention. He's a Repug tool.

a softball for Mario to hit out of the park? I mean, that could be a part of the turning of the worm, right?

11. So Russ Jr thinks that we shouldn't know about Iraqis being happy
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 10:40 PM by higher class
before we showed our imperialistic talents?

So what about the wedding party? Is this NBC reverse logic?

Pre 2003 invasion - Iraqis should be unhappy.
Post 2003 invasion - Iraqis should be happy.

So does that make -

Pre Wedding Party two months ago - Iraqis should be unhappy??
Post Wedding Party two months ago - Iraqis should be happy??

15. Set my VCR for CNBC for 1pm EST- thanks so much
My husband especially loves Mario

I can't stand Russert. What a fool and a tool. He previously showed his inability to face the harsh reality of U.S. military actions during his interview with Kerry when he mistakenly stated to Kerry that Vietnam atrocities Kerry had testified about had never occurred. Kerry set him straight.

The title of this thread is hysterical --"Lil Russ (tim russert) blowing a headgasket"

The Reichwing media needs 'Lil (Reichwing) Russ' to push Dictator Bush on us during the 'debates.'

23. Mario is God!
I’m watching the 1am replay. I can’t stomach the doughboy, but even “lil russ” knows enough to keep his pie hole shut and let God speak. Mario makes SO much sense.

Even at 72, he should be on the Supreme Court.

24. Cuomo is amazing....
I've always admired him but he's been gone from the public stage for so long I'd forgotten why.

He's eloquent and he gets it.

How can they argue with a word he says?

I LOVED the part about religion, and Lincoln on religion, and how Jesus was a liberal, and how any president running should say I'm going to give all those Americans who are excluded for economic reasons a chance to share in this, the most wonderful country in the world.

HOW can the right take issue with THAT?
