25. I'll recommend

"The Richest Man in Babylon."

Just a little pocketbook. You'll read it in two hours, but it tells a lot.

On edit, for more detailed info, try "The Millionaire Next Door."

I've invested since the Reagan years and my stocks generally increased in value. That is until that idiot G DUHbya took office.

Can't understand why the Wall Street Journal still supports that asshole. The Stock Market had its best performance during the Clinton years.

26. Follow John Edwards advice
Invest overseas.

Anyone see his disclosed holdings in the paper this week?

He owns mostly mutual funds from the American Funds company.

Overwhelmingly his largest holding was the American Funds "Euro-Pacific Fund" which is ironic since it's a foreign stock fund. I wonder if Edwards knows that while he goes around North Carolina talking about the outsourced jobs, he's heavily invested in the foreign companies that now have those jobs.

Irony can be so ironic sometimes.

My stocks aren't doing very well right now. I did have better luck earlier this year, though.

It's a giant Ponzi scheme, no matter what anyone tells you.

...being a staunch socialist, but I do have a small percent of my paycheck deducted to buy stock in the company for whom I slave. It's not worth shit at this point.

27. Indirectly?
I have an annuity that is invested in various funds that are invested in companies that are traded on wall street. Other than that, I have precious metals. Silver is on it's way up again after a moderate dip earlier this spring.
