If there is a terrorist attack in America 2 days before the election,
Edited on Sun Jul-11-04 01:21 PM by pduck
should the election be postponed?

Personally, I hope it would be. If there was an attack here, there would be such a tremendous patriotic fervor that Bush would win in a landslide. Remember what it was like right after 9/11? Bush got whatever he asked for. Americans tend to rally around their leaders in times of crisis. If the election were to be postponed, it would give everyone time to get their senses back.

Food for thought.

1. Or...
People would be so pissed at Bushler for not protecting them that he would kick them out.

3. Makes no sense
Why would an attack make someone switch parties and vote for the candidate they were NOT supporting before the attack? Just don't understand the logic involved in that decision.

4. Lincoln Didn't During The Civil War
And, as much as he must have thought about it, decided it was a very bad idea.

I think they're planning a delay of the vote based on the probability of getting bad information.

Besides, they're afraid of Kerry issuing an Executive Order opening up the sealed records of every President since Regan to the public.

6. I think a terrorist attack
would polarize the country even more than it already is. Those who watched the Chimpministration co-opt 9/11 to push their radical agenda would NOT sit in muted shock this time.

For the middle-ground voters - TWO large-scale attacks on Chimpy's watch. It doesn't seem possible that people would be dumb enough support him a second time round. The recriminations would begin much sooner, unless martial law is declared. In which case, America is screwed.
