I need help!
I would like to rebut a letter sent to local paper that stated that the Moore film has been criticized in the national media for its inaccuracies. The writer states that:

"Mr Moore's key assertion that Bush's family is in financial thrall to Saudi royal family has been shown to be false by "Newsweek." Likewise Moore's contention that Bush allowed members of the Bin Laden family to fly out of the country after 9-11 has been shown to be a lie by Richard Clarke, a staunch opponent of the administration. Clarke says he authorized the Bin Laden family;s flights without any consultation with those above him. He also said that he informed M.M. of that fact before F 9-11 was released. Clarke asked Moore to change the movie to reflect the truth, but Moore wouldn't."

I'm not as good with facts as most of you are, but I would like to come right back at this jerk with the truth. I am so sick and tired of all the lies and this is my chance to fight back.

1. Try michaelmoore.com for the specifics
The point of the movie isnt so much those specifics, and the conservatives try to invalidate the point by arguing simantics. The point is that the government of Saudi Arabia and wealthy families in Saudi Arabia are inexplicably tied to both the Bush family and the US government. This is irrefutable. And in a time where the politics of the Middle East are so linked to terrorism this connection is terrifically troublesome and anyone who denies that is being blinded by partisanship.

3. Ultimate responsibility WH
Clarke says he authorized the Bin Laden family;s flights without any consultation with those above him.

He consulted with FBI and FBI gave okay. Who does FBI work for? DOJ, Ashcroft. Who tells Ashcroft and FBI what to do? WH and he nasty boys in charge.

Nice try to dodge, but WH had the ability to influence and authoritize the decision to allow the flights and authorize the departure of the flights. Ultimate responsibility is WH.

4. The Previous Writer Has Quoted Only One Source In His Assumption
That....

I hope the readers of this paper view more than one source of the news to develop intellegent and reasoned decisions.
