(Family Reunion)Florida G-Parents say Bush must go.
Today at our family reunion in PA, my grandparents who I don't know what there political preferences are, Say's Bush must go. My grandparents would seem to be the typical Bush voter, well off, retired in Florida, Church going. But no, today we were talking about Bush's visit to York and they laid into him like I never seen before. They cannot stand him. You may ask why, it's Bush's Medicare plan. So that is two votes he wont be getting in Florida. Not only that, but all of there retired friends are voting against Bush.

1. A lot of senior citizens are really concerned
they realize the prescription drug 'benefit' is really a scam, and they've stopped trusting Bush.

6. Yes, we do know it is a scam. Shrub knows we know. He is desperate
enough to actually pull off some "terraist" event in order to cancel elections. They are really scared. The pharmaceutical companies raised their prices about a month before the "benefits" went into play.

2. not to count our chickens before they've hatched, but bush is going DOWN.
i've heard so many stories of righties against bush, apathetics energized against bush, and democrats determined like never before against bush.

and virtually NO ONE going the other way. the only ones who seem eager to vote for bush in 2004 are the same people who voted for him in 2000.

other than election fraud, postponement, and other manipulations, shrub has nothing going for him at this point.

4. I can dig it
I deal with elderly folks down here all the time and now more than ever they are speaking out. I have been doing this work for 15 years and never heard this much noise.

Medicare plan is a biggie and drug prices, Stem cell research (a sleeper issue, makes sense though since I am in health care and deal with chronic untreatable conditions which many of them have) , Iraq of course, Vets benefits, Enron for 2 guys who lost out. lately his Cuba rules had a Cuban senor very upset...

those seem to be the big issues, I have to read up on DU just to keep up!

5. Demdem,
Congrats on the good genes you've apparently inherited! Gray power should be a big help this year.
