Well, here's my suggestion, in the event of another attack on America:

1) Postpone the Presidential election until, ohhhhhh...Nov, 2008.

2) Declare martial law and send in the 101st Airborne into Hollywood, Berkeley, and Seattle...for starters.

3) Place those who have been giving aid and comfort to the enemy in "protective custody" (to keep them from being lynched by citizens fed up with their traitorous actions). Start with Michael Moore, Ted Kennedy, and Whoopi Goldberg.

4) Shut down all enemy propaganda organs, starting with the NYT, LAT, WaPo, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, etc.

5) For all future elections, require proof of U.S. citizenship in order to cast a vote.

On second thought, suggestion 5 alone will guarantee a landslide victory for those who truly want to defend the USA from its enemies.

I like #4s ideas. But I'd add another. Just cancel the elections and keep the present administration in office for another 4 years. Since it's obvious the terrorist want this administration out of office and a "prissy do nothing let the terrorist win democrat party" in office, this would send a clear message to the ragheads.

The best way to "spin" this is to say, if a terrorist attack occurs, the DemocRATS are going to claim that the place where the attack occurred was the ONLY place for "the poor" and "minorities" had to go vote. So, to keep them from being "disenfranchised," we need to postpone the election until we can locate a new place for the potential "disenfranchisees" to vote. We just don't want to hear all the whining from the Left. It's not rocket science.

The leftist "press" is filled with this story today; I won't believe it until I hear it from a credible source.

If Ridge is considering something like this, it must be in keeping with the Homeland Security plan.

We're going to VOTE and re-elect Bush; so terrorists can fuggedaboudit!

PIAPS' GLOBAL COMMUNISTS have NO intention on there ever being another election in this country.. get it yet, folks..

when they lost in 2000, with all their CHEATING, they realized, as did the EU/UN/CHINA COMMIES, that they would have to take down us and GWB BEFORE the 2004 election or risk having ALL OF THEIR DIRTY LAUNDRY FOR THE LAST THIRTY YEARS EXPOSED.. as it is now starting to be...

Probably the best way to handle this is to flatten the entire Middle East now.

1. These people are not Americans.
They are the enemy of the United States and of those who died fighting for real freedom and democracy.

Those who would suspend the election are traitors to the democratic ideals and their country, and should be treated as such.

3. Makes me wonder...
What is it exactly they like about America?

Likely, they'll say the freedom.

Oh, the irony!

It always kills me when I hear a right winger bitch about the "liberal" media. I guess they want nothing short of full time Republican propaganda being broadcast.

7. During the Revolutionary War times, these people were the equivalent

of the loyalists to the crown.

They didn't want democracy; they wanted the Monarchy to stay in place.

They didn't value freedom of speech, or freedom of the press, or any dissent.

They are still around in the form of slime like these "people."

8. And Mickey Kaus recommends the site!
Back when Media Whores Online was posting regularly (and may it soon return), it used to score Kaus of Salon.com for recommending Luci the Bat's site for informed, reasoned discourse. Kaus similarly did not recommend other reputable liberal sites because they advocated "violence" or some such nonsense.

Keep it in mind when you go to Salon.com, and consider the writers it supports.

6. I have changed my mind.
I now believe Ldotters are worse then freepers. Freepers at least don't put alot of thought into being stupid, they just come by it naturally. Ldotters on the other hand, work at it.

11. I'm sick to my stomach now.
It infuriates me that these people would think this way and call themselves Americans. Then again, it's not about defending 'freedom' anymore is it? As one poster so aptly put it, it's about 'defending the USA.' It's about defending the entity of the nation-state itself, not the values of freedom, tolerance, and justice it represents.

Defend the U.S.. Defend the Homeland, defend the Fatherland, defend Oceania. Hail to the Chief. Sieg heil!

Who is going to defend US from THEM?

F them and the jack-booted horse they rode in on.

12. It's not even about "defending the USA"
It's about keeping Republicans in power. They are Republicans first, Americans second, and to them the GOP rather than "we the people" is the United States.
