What do you think Bush's strategy is?

What does the RNC have in mind?

It seems that they are on a rampage and really don't care who they piss off lately. It's almost like they know they have some sort of lock.

I think that they believe that as long as they have the fundies wrapped up and pull in a bunch of new Latinos, everything will be ok.

Short of election fraud, what do you think they have up their sleeves?

(Besides the whole guns, god, and gays traditional approach, I'm talking new here.)

1. Fear
We're in for 4 more months of the RNC filling gullible minds with horror stories of what will happen if we don't "re"-elect Bush.

That's all they've got left, and it probably won't work. So they're either deluded enough to think that's enough or planning a "crisis" because they KNOW it's not enough.

2. Win at any and all cost.
I think the flip-flops and moves over the past few months are a ploy. Something that he can provide ammunition for his surrogates against critics during this election year. Then, if he gets elected as planned, it's off to the races in a very big way. Screw everyone. He'll have nothing to lose because he doesn't have to worry about another term.

I have no idea what they have up their sleeves. They're the most dishonest administration there is. Even more than Nixon. And whatever it takes for them to win.

If we want to find out what they'll be doing tactics wise, we should figure a way to see what their pollster Frank Lund is researching for them and what he's suggesting. That would shed light to more of what they want to do than anything.

3. Maybe a phony, or real, "terra" attack on America to disrupt elections.
They don't care who they have to hurt or kill to get their way.

5. Top of the evening news was the Newsweek story...
about postponing the elections.

There can be little doubt this isn't their strategy.

They will two-time cheating bastards.

6. fear and fascism
scare everyone.

If that's not enough, kill a bunch of people and blame it on a boogie man.

Use the FUD factor (fear, uncertainty and doubt) to dispense with the niceties of a democratic society.

With Diebold, the Patriot Act, GOP ownership of the corporate media and a surfeit of GOP governors ready and able to commit massive vote fraud in key states, Bush feels pretty confident.

7. Get Out The Base and Steal Enough Votes to "Win" Again
If that doesn't work, cancel the elections.

There is no attempt to be conciliatory any more, they are telling
the moderates to get cheyneyed. Obviously, they don't expect to
need their votes.
