Bush is insane, he thinks he is Moses
Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 07:21 AM by Mari333
read it and weep.
Psychologically, Im concerned..if someone is this much of a meglomaniac, and I do believe he has a disease (known as Jerusalem Syndrome in Israel, when a US citizen goes to Israel and starts believing they are a biblical character and acts it out, only to end up in a mental institution)
If he thinks the Apocalypse is right around the corner, he isnt going to want to "let go" of his power trip anytime soon
This insane man has GOT to go...

and fast

"could not be governor if I did not believe in a divine plan that supersedes all human plans. Politics is a fickle business. Polls change. Today's friend is tomorrow's adversary. People lavish praise and attention. Many times it is genuine; sometimes it is not. Yet I build my life on a foundation that will not shift. My faith frees me. Frees me to put the problem of the moment in proper perspective. Frees me to make decisions that others might not like. Frees me to try to do the right thing, even though it may not poll well... The death penalty is a difficult issue for supporters as well as its opponents. I have a reverence for life; my faith teaches that life is a gift from our Creator. In a perfect world, life is given by God and only taken by God. I hope someday our society will respect life, the full spectrum of life, from the unborn to the elderly. I hope someday unborn children will be protected by law and welcomed in life. I support the death penalty because I believe, if administered swiftly and justly, capital punishment is a deterrent against future violence and will save other innocent lives. Some advocates of life will challenge why I oppose abortion yet support the death penalty. To me, it's the difference between innocence and guilt. Today, two weeks after Jeb's inauguration, in my church in downtown"

1. "Today's friend is tomorrow's adversary."
The whole world learned that after foolishly pouring out their heart to America following September 11th.

Which, I don't mind reminding people, was only possible because of the Goodwill Dividend earned us by the Clinton Administration.

I miss being a Good Guy.

6. Yeah, he even pissed off Pat Robertson with that one
Too bad Pat didn't stay pissed. It's possible that dipshit would have never bought the nomination in 2000.

5. Scary quote from recent New Yorker mag
Book review of 3 recent Bush books quotes an unnamed family member as saying "George sees this as a religious war...his view of this is that they are trying to kill the Christians. And we the Christians will strike back with more force and ferocity than they will ever know." This is from The Bushes: Portrait of a Dynasty by Peter and Rochelle Schwiezer. This is a pro-Bush book by the way.
