#1 song in USA asks "Why did Bush knock down the Towers?"
For all you LIHOP/MIHOP theorists out there. Wonder what Bill O'Really's gonna think about this one? After all, we know how much he likes rap music, right?

Ruff Ryders/Interscope artist Jadakiss -- also a member of rap trio the Lox -- is receiving a lot of attention for his single "Why?" The song questions President Bush's involvement in the events of Sept. 11, 2001, with the lyric "Why did Bush knock down the Towers?"

The line has prompted some radio stations to edit the song. According to sources at MTV, the "Why?" video arrived at the network without the lyric.

"I was thinking, 'What's the one thing that everyone has in common? Questions.' Everyone asks why, so I decided to write a song asking questions that everyone wants to," he adds.

As for the controversial line, the Yonkers, N.Y., rapper's view is unwavering. "I just felt had something to do with that," Jadakiss says, referring to the events of Sept. 11. "That's why I put it in there like that. A lot of my people felt that he had something to do with it."

1. "Why did Bush knock down the Towers?"
Because it's the "new Pearl Harbor" that PNAC needed to be able to over!

2. The Big Question
Is why in the hell are radio stations editing that line?

11. Maybe because many of them are owned by Clear Channel!
Part of the evil empire.

12. Rhetorical Question
But seriously, that's not profane or sexual or anything like that. It's just a political belief, and it's bullshit that political speech is getting censored like that.

Jesus, nobody censored the dumb bastards who kept squawking about how Clinton supposedly was a mass rapist and serial killer.

4. Ah, behold the next black artist on O'Racist's shit list
Which makes Jadakiss a-okay in my book.

5. there's another line like
"why did the terminator win an election?"

or something like that.

However, though I'm "a advocate of rap music" to use a line from boxer Roy Jones jr, I've never particularly cared for Jadakiss' stuff. While I like the message of the song, he sounds like Jermaine Dupri and tends to release a lot of crap.

6. I've never heard of Jadakiss
Most of today's rap sounds the same to me.

Although I have the new Beastie Boys CD, and it is pretty good. They bash Dubya as well on a few songs.

9. A sort-of correction
Meanwhile, "Why?," which features R&B singer Anthony Hamilton, continues to climb the charts. The second single from "Kiss of Death" debuted at No. 71 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The single is No. 16 this week.
