If you are going to be in Boston for the convention come to a celebration that is being called The Peoples Party :party: It's a Jamaica Plain celebration and action event.

Only a few more weeks until the People's Party in JP, July 25, from 5-10 pm on the green space in front of the Stony Brook T station.
Just get off at the Stonybrook stop on the Orange line. When you exit, you will be at the event.

Our action -- A PEOPLE'S PARTY TO COINCIDE WITH THE DELEGATES' PARTY!!

Our audience -- COMMUNITY MEMBERS, THE MEDIA, AND THE DEMOCRATIC
DELEGATES WHO WILL BE PARTYING IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!

What will happen at the party?

:bounce: -- open stage and mic

:silly: -- food, music, stilt walking, puppets

:wow: :wow: :wow: -- games to educate and change the world: pin the money on the budget; search for weapons of mass destruction; create a mural; contribute to an open letter to the Delegates; build a model house that symbolizes your vision of home.

:dem: -- help carry a 70-foot backbone puppet in a snake march through the neighborhood as we drop in on the Delegate Parties and attempt to deliver our open letters

:yourock: -- meet everyone from ACE activists in hazmat suits to Dennis Kucinich; :toast:

:evilgrin: from "billionaires for Bush" to Chuck Turner; from local musicians to famous band members.

:kick: -- also invited/planned/hoped-for: a re-enactment of the Fannie Lou Hamer 1964 speech to the DNC; a visit from Danny Glover, Jessie Jackson,

:grouphug: and others in town for the DNC; a presentation from the political prisoners' group, "Presente!"
