Did you hear about CInemark? Come on and email with me.
Seems Cinemark was one of the lucky theaters to have F 911. Here is a story about it:

http://166.70.44.66/2004/Jul/07072004/utah/181593.asp

A Utah moment: Moviegoers at the Jordan Landing Cinemark movies in West Jordan received a unique greeting Monday from the ticket taker if they purchased tickets to "Fahrenheit 9/11."

To each patron, he called out: "Vote for Bush." When queried, he said he was following instructions from management.

Terrell Falk, marketing vice president for Cinemark, based in Plano, Texas, was surprised by the news and said lobbying customers for Bush was not a company policy. She was still trying to get through to the West Jordan complex as of late Tuesday to find out what they were thinking.

I find this outrageous and am writing the company. You can find the form at : http://www.cinemark.com/contactus.asp I think if a few hundred of us write to complain, the guy will definitely know to never do it again. I bet they will even send out a memo stating, in no uncertain terms, not to do it.

1. I also like the item under that
where the theatre management placed a disclaimer on F911 saying its playing did not necessarily reflect the views of ownership or management, and someone wrote a letter to the editor asking if the lack of disclaimers for "White Chicks" and "Dodgeball" meant that ownership and management agreed with the views of those movies

2. nah... one kid shouting "vote for Bush"
against thousands seeing a movie that tells you why you should NOT vote for Bush?

I think we already won that one.

4. I know that it is one kid......
but I hate to think that Cinemark may just sweep it under the rug. I know it is just some punk kid, but it is offensive to be selling tickets to a pro-dem movie and be telling the people to vote Bush. I think he was trying to push some buttons. I figure if he wants to push buttons then he will have to live with whatever buttons he pushes. Felt it was time to put the punk kid in his place.

What is even worse is the article above it. There was a link to this on Michael Moore's site. A woman had to have a raffle to buy her husband on the front lines in Iraq! What was that old bumper sticker about the day the schools get the funds and the military has to have bake sales? Well, the schools are not getting the funds but it is almost a bake sale like action trying to get gear for the military.

8. The Kid Claimed to be Speaking for Management
If he was lying to the patrons, he should lose his job.

9. here's the quote
"it will be a great day when our schools get all the money they need and the air force has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber."

I got it from Norther Sun Merchandising. Lots of great liberal and democratic gear.

5. Before we slam Cinemark too hard,
I'd like to point out that they're playing the movie instead of boycotting it. I just saw it Sunday at a Cinemark theatre, and if they hadn't played it I wouldn't have been able to see it here in Laredo. And no, nobody told me to vote for Bush.

6. OK....
I know they are showing it as I also saw the movie at my local Cinemark. Maybe I am a little overzealous. I guess I was so disappointed since Cinemark is the only theater I really go to and really could not see any theater letting this happen let alone Cinemark. Maybe the manager was busy and didn't see it happening. Maybe no other workers were around. I guess stuff like this does happen, I was just disappointed it happened at the one chain I use.
