What if state and local governments said, "fuck it, we need to hold our elections so we're going ahead with them." That would sort of throw the rationale for cancelling the pres election out the window, right?

since the election had to be canceled, the president is using his emergency powers as Commander in Chief to appoint governors, senators, house members, etc., until the "emergency" was over.

We know that Scalia, Thomas and Rehnquist would uphold this bullshit. The question is, would Kennedy and O'Connor continue to support their appointed fuhrer?
