Local Bush supporter explains all
On the way home from work, I sometimes stop at a local pub. The barmaid is an avid -- no rabid -- Bush supporter. She doesn't just support his policies -- she thinks of him as a rock star. When he comes on the TV, which is usually tuned to CNN or Fox, she screams, "there's my MAN!!!"

The other barmaid, by the way, an older lady, is a Democrat and always rolls her eyes at the Bush fan.

A customer asked her the other day what she loves so much about Bush and she said, I kid you not, "I'm a little bit dumb, and so is he, so I can relate to him and that's why I LOVE him!"

Is there any point trying to persuade this person to vote for Kerry?

2. I'd give up on them...
...but it sounds like they'd make a great spokesperson for Kerry!

"Bush is a little bit dumb like me! That's why I love him!"

He's "human" (meaning he has lots of personal failings), so all the other sinners out there can relate to him.

A new campaign moto?

Bush in '04! Going after the stupid vote!

6. two legs - BAD
four legs - BETTER !

repeated as infinitum....

no, there is not point - trying to teach a pig to sing only annoys the pig.

Go figure, there are people out there who like having their opinions given to them.

7. If she's dumb, you should tell her that Bush just said to vote for
Kerry because he thinks Kerry would make a better president. There really should be a stupid tax. They'd be too stupid to complain about it.

10. Doesn't she feel that the President of the USA....
should be just a LITTLE BIT ABOVE average in IQ? GEEZ. That's crazy. Doesn't she see what kind of mess having a dummy president gets us? Now we're in a needless war with almost 1,000 U.S. soldiers dead.

to realize that we don't need equally dumb people as president. But at least she's honest with herself about her own limits!

14. The Dumb Want Their Day Too
Seriously.

American culture has made a virtue of not-being-too-smart-or-educated.

So you have a lot of dumb people who feel they're not getting their fair share of power.

17. I don't think that I'm all that dumb
and *I* sure want a president who is smarter than me!!!

It reminds me of those polls that asked would you like to have a beer with Bush or Gore. Listen, we're picking the leader of the free world, NOT a drinking buddy.

My only hope is that she is so dumb that she forgot to register, isn't clear on what day to vote or gets lost on the way to the polls.

24. Ask, Should you be President?
And variations of the same. Maybe every third time she says this stupid shit. Sooner or later it'll sink into her lame brain that none of the people sitting in the bar are qualified to be President, so why would they want someone just like them to actually BE President.

And it doesn't have to be a bar, it could be a grocery store, country club, or just about any other location in the country. The leader of the entire world shouldn't be as dumb as your average schmoe.

25. Remember what Adlai Stevenson said:
During his 1956 presidential campaign, a woman called out to
Adlai E Stevenson 'Senator, you have the vote of every thinking person!'
Stevenson called back 'That's not enough, madam, we need a majority!'
