So whatever happened to England in the U.S. news?
There's something being left out of this equation when we haggle over whether it was Bush or the intelligence at fault and it's a significant factor, I feel.
We've conveniently (for Bush) forgotten Jolly Olde England. Well, we didn't exactly forget, it's just that the "liberal" media here has completely let it fade off the screen.
If George Tenet was indeed responsible for us rushing into a preemptive invasion which in fact preempted nothing at all save thousands of people's next birthdays, then who played the villain's role for Tony Blair?
Even though it's not reported here (which is passing strange since prior to and during the war we were notified every time the Prime Minister peed), over on the other side of the pond Tony Blair is now going through the same thing Bush is.
We didn't have just one government "hoodwinked by faulty intelligence", it turns out, but two.
Exceedingly strange. One would almost say "no f'ing way" under one's breath when told of such a huge simultaneous breakdown of two previously highly esteemed intelligence services such as the CIA and MI6.
