2. Well, as distasteful and disgustingly ignorant
as I find them, they do have every right in the world to be protesting against him, as much as we do against Bush and his ilk. If we want to be able to protest against him or anyone else, they should be able to protest against Clinton or whoever. That's the great American way, or at least the way it should be. Of course, it won't be for long if Shrub manages to pull off another election.

So... these nimrods... who have nothing better to do than continue to beat a man who pretty much kept this country safe for 8 years in spite of the fact that he was harrassed morning to night by people no better than himself... are showing their patriotism how?? By bashing an American president?? Oh I see.... it's ok when they say it's ok.

9. No free speech zones?
Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 05:38 PM by lovedems
I don't think they realize had Bush been in that store and the wanted to protest, they would have been 5 blocks away. It is quite a standard their boy king is setting.

It will hit home one day. When they want to protest Kerry, I hope he makes them go 4-5 blocks away in his own free speech zone "so he can't see or hear them".

I didn't look at all of the posters. Did they have all the words spelled correctly?

I don't think John Kerry will follow that rule.
I think John Kerry values free speech and will move us in that direction! Except for security concerns, I don't think it will be as draconian as it is now. He will listen and respond to the people, as most presidents have done in the past.

20. that was the first thing that hit me too
the one whining about being moved so far away from the line of liberals ... um, close enough to take their picture pretty clearly ... looks like about 30-40 feet ... if Bush were there and people wanted to protest (and by protest, I don't mean have fake Bushes and Saddams hootin' and hollerin'... I mean just not swear that they have their mind made up already to vote for Dubya), they'd be moved a mile and a half away to a "free speech zone" where no dissent could hurt Bush's feelings or be picked up by the media ... yeah, and we used to think the whole country was a "free speech zone"

That was part of Orwell's description of doublethink. It certainly applies to this poor fellow:

Crusading for decency seems to be a dirty business, oddly enough.

These are the same idiots who demand that we 'support the pResident'.

Once more, we have a tiny handful of freepers vs. a large crowd of liberals. You'd think they'd get a little lonely once in a while in those big ol' crowds.

17. Staged handshake between Saddam and Clinton
Gee, they could have come here for an actual photo of the Secretary of Defense shaking Saddam's hand back in 1983 when he sold him all those turrible weapons that 900 of our military have died retrieving.

The blood's on Rumsfeld's hands and won't come off.

18. CAN someone explain why Osama
is still running around in the world free. * has had three years to go after. He said that was the most important thing to do back on 9/13/01. So he goes after a third world dictator that was not threatening us? Clinton actually did go after Osama when that was not cool and was laughed at for "wag the dog" syndrome. :wtf:

21. I disagree with them, but...
They (from their own reports at least) were peaceable and good humored rather than nasty and combative. I've no problem with that.

It's interesting that I saw no news reports about either the Clinton book signing nor the freeper protest in the news.

Let's face it, protesting Clinton makes as much sense as us going over and protesting outside a Gerald Ford appearance.

Clinton is NOT, I repeat NOT the president anymore.

Time to move forward.

25. Losers
I love it!

1. Clinton is not president anymore, and cannot ever be president again, and they are STILL in a tizzy.

2. Why weren't these people at work instead of "protesting" a president that isn't president any more and never can be president again? Did they call in sick?

This Dem was at work earning my keep while these slackers were having their circle jerk.

28. OOOOOOOOOh.
What was there, 9, maybe 10 people at that "protest." I think freepers have "protest" confused with "a couple of Billy-Bobs waving their dicks."

Hey freeptards, THIS is what a protest looks like.
