Nader at 3.5 percent. How can we stop this from being a repeat of 2000?

With the race as close as it is, we need EVERY vote that we can get. Is there ANY way we can convince Nader voters to go for Kerry?

After watching he and Dean debate (which was quite excellent), it's obvious that Nader has no intention of stepping down. So, we have to go after those who plan on voting for him.

So, what are some convincing arguments, tactics that we can use?

but i'm not sure how convincing an argument it is. I think the key is to take the mantra "Bush and Kerry are the same so vote for Ralph" away from them by pointing out the many differences between Kerry and Bush.

2. Print out all evidence (i.e. media stories) showing Nader for the GOP

butt kisser that he is. Show how he is currently using the GOP's help in gathering signatures in Michigan so he can be placed on the ballot. Show them the articles with regard to Oregon. If you have a copy of the Dean/Nader debate, show them that. Anyone at this point who thinks that Nader isn't working for the GOP hasn't been walking around with their eyes open. :hi:

9. New CNN/Gallup Poll has Traitor Nader at 2%

Ralph Nader, the man whose unquenchable hatred of my party has lead him to get into bed with some of this country's most reactionary elements, is only polling 2% in the latest Gallup Poll.

And when you consider that along with his collapsing reputation he will also fail to achieve ballot status in most states, it looks like this fellow has stayed beyond his expiration date.

10. Is it possible that when Republicans are polled...

they are giving a vote for Nader just to convince him to stay in the race? I think this is a darn good possibility.

12. He was on the ballot in 43 states in 2000. Currently on ballot in what,

7 or 8 states. Missed the opportunity for 22 staes with the Green Party. The fact he is even included in ANY polls is a cheneying joke. If Nader is included then so should Roy Moore of Alabama, makes just as much sense.

How much does it take to commission a poll?

Can we have a DU fundraiser to have a bush*/Kerry/Roy Moore poll in AL/GA/MS/FL/KY/OK and get the results published nationwide? I bet RM get's a significant amount of the vote, at least at Nader levels and I believe he would pull 5-10%. Imagine opening up that can of worms on bush*s RIGHT!!

Hell if we get 10 DUers in each of those states to call and get 10 responses, just pick names out of your local phone book, log that info down, time of call and rotate the names in order just like other polls, we could do it for free!

Then maybe TruthIsAll can crunch the numbers for what would be a 600 person sample and create a press release!

Opportunistic, yes. And I don't mean that in a bad way. He's running for President, why not take all the help you can, even if it is a little skeevie?

The real nominee of the Green Party, David Cobb(I think that's correct), is already qualified for 3 times the states as Ralph. If Nader is a valid poll subject then Mr Cobb is too! Since Cobb is left out of the polls then Nader should be too.

Some people on the suicidal left are impervious to reason.

It doesn't matter that there are sharp differences on health care, social security, education, taxation, abortion, trade, war and peace, energy, the environment, and affirmative action. I heard this on the McLaughlin Group this past Sunday.

John predicts that at the Democratic convention they will be "speaking to Nader" in a variety of ways....he will be pleased with the response....and then he will simply drop out after the election.

Makes sense in a way because he's going nowhere with the low amount of states he's in and lack of green party support.
