His 15 minutes were over decades ago. Go away Mike. Buddy Ryan's the reason you have any fame at all.

A stupid, screaming, drunk who does ads for scotch, casinos, and viagra. He will definitely help this country along. :wtf:

15. my favorite thing in all this is..........
everybody who's referred to it says Dikka advertises viagra

so much for that ad's effectiveness, as it's for one of the other boner drugs

wonder if he realizes that, or if his company does.

marketing lesson here is that maybe viagra will become the kleenex of the ED drugs, ha

I mean, there is no finer way to describe the antics of Repukes other than scatology!

(I edited for subtlety)

3. this could be a problem
remember what happened with arnold in california. Celebrity makes ordinarily rational people vote in irrational ways.

8. California is especially star struck.I don't think the rest of the country
is as bad... well, they elected Ventura in Minnesota, so I might be mistaken.
But isn't Obama REALLY liked?

20. Wasn't Ventura elected in a 3 way race?
He didn't actually get a majority of the votes, did he?

13. I don't think you have to worry about that here though.

The circumstances in the two are vastly different. For one, although I did not find Arnold qualified enough (or the recount necessary), he had been active in politics and the Republican party for a while. While I'm not surprised Ditka's a Repub, I had never heard of him being affiliated with the pubs before.

More importantly, Arnold won due to the enormous unpopularity of Davis (fair or not) that led to the recount. Ditka, should he run, goes up against an enormously popular candidate in Barak Obama.

If Ditka signs onto this, and Illinois voters have a choice between a short-tempered, inarticulate coach whose best days are decades behind him, or the intelligent, articulate, up-and-coming star in Obama.

It will be a landslide. I think the GOP is doing this because Ditka may be the only guy dumb enough to sign on to make it look like the the Repubs aren't conceeding the race, when in reality, that's exactly what they are doing.

And I say all of this as a loyal Bears fan and Ditka fan. Even if Ditka were a Dem, I would never want him representing me in the US Senate. I wouldn't even want him coaching the Bears again.

17. Apparently at least 50%
of the voting american public (or is that the supreme court) has been fooled or is stupid.

Sounds like something that PT Barnum said, and yes I did live in Bridgeport, CT and have seen his home. That I think is Bridgeport's motto!

16. oh Cheney!
I am cheneying scared. Ditka running for the senate? That's gotta be a cheneying joke picked up by Drudge. The thing i am worried about is that the whole election will come down to viagra and other miscellaneous ditka issues, and not dwell on who is best suited to work in the senate and move the country forward (Obama).

Yes, thought that was so good, I had to repeat it!!!!

:hurts:
