Does your KERRY/EDWARDS bumper sticker make you a better driver?
I find myself less tempted to make "asshole" moves in traffic...like I have to set an example.

1. I Am The Same Way
I don't want to piss off any swing voters.

I seriously know people who would change their vote if they got cut off in traffic by someone with a candidate's bumper sticker.

Sad but true.

4. I think so.
I sort of consider myself a Kerry representative and will do my best to not piss anyone off with bad driving. If I piss someone off because of the Kerry sticker then they can go f*ck themselves.

9. yeah, that's what I mean...love pissing them off because of the sticker...
...but don't want to feed their distorted fantasy of "AH HA! Lookit the Kerry sticker...no wonder he drives like an asshole!"

5. Ha! I think about that while I am poking my way along the freeway
I like to drive at the speed limit, which really seems to unnerve some people. Now I feel self conscious about it. Oh, well, at least they get a good chance to read the "John Kerry" and the "Outsource BUSH" bumperstickers.

6. You're right. I'm the same way.
I drive more courteously because I don't want someone to cut someone off then they think "Oh, that asshole is voting for Kerry - figures!"

I'd rather have the contrary reaction.

24. That's funny because in my apartment complex
there is someone with a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker who can't parallel park for the live of them. And everytime I see the car parked all crooked and half on the curb, I think, "Only a Bush fan could park like such an asshole."

16. Yes- I am definitely more careful and courteous in my driving
so as to not make a bad impression that would reflect poorly on Kerry and Dems in general.

8. I've probably lost the Democrats several votes already
with my driving. Sometimes, I just have to change lanes.

Oh well. I do think about it when I do, and I usually just hope they don't notice my bumper, which advertises more than just Kerry.

10. It fell off
I had a Kerry bumpersticker on, and got rear ended. I got the car back last week, and immediatly ordered a Kerry/Edwards sticker. I put it on today. Tonight going to get dinner, my new rear bumper fell off.

Is this a bad sign? Or just poor Korean workmanship?

12. The other thing I do is drive to get the most "impressions"
I think the marketing term is "impressions" which are the instances someone sees or hears about your product or brand name - like when some company buys a sports stadium - that want to maximize their impressions.

So what I do on my 25 mile one way commute is frequently pass or get passed on purpose. I do this all courteously and safely and try to maximize my impressions.

Also, if I happen to see a Bush sticker I make a point of passing them and pulling right in front of them so they HAVE to see the Kerry sticker.

14. Yup, me too.
My DU sticker is in the upper left hand corner of my rear window, since I almost always drive in the right hand lane on the highway.

13. Yes it will
once I put one on. I noticed I've already gotten better after I pasted a NO2W sticker on my rear bumper: I no longer brake for tail-gaters. Better for everyone involved... LOL!

17. I thought about getting a
Bush bumper sticker and being an asshole driver. Though I don't think it will work very well in a car that gets 40 mpg and fits in the super-sub compact spots at the train station.

19. Yeah...if I put a Bush/Cheney sticker on my miata...
...it would ruin the suspension...and I wouldn't be fooling anybody. Now, if I only had a Hummer...

18. I used to have a Dean sticker that definitely made me a better driver
It's gone now

I live around so many Bush/Cheney stickers, they raise my blood pressure tenfold.

When their ultra-huge, gas guzzling, monolith of an SUV, driven by a sexually repressed, anger mgmt rejectee redneck cuts me off in traffic, I scream out loud "It figures!"

I take my politics very seriously. I feel that I am setting an example for the Kerry supporters. I want to set the best example possible. I know it is crazy but I think this way.

21. Funny you should say that!
I've felt the same way lately. I even feel like I should take care not to dress like a total frump when I'm out and about running errands, to give a positive impression. Hey, every little bit helps!
