Letter I sent to Joe Scrborough
I find it interesting -- you say that Democrats should not associate with Michael Moore because of what he has said. Yet alot of people on your side embrace Sun Myung Moon. He has made statements that are anti-american and offensive to many people.

These quotes are from the Washington Post:

"Satan created this kind of Hell on Earth," Moon said about the United States.

Moon also lambasted American women. They "have inherited the line of prostitutes," he declared. "American women are even worse because they practice free sex just because they enjoy it."

Lashing out again last May, Moon denounced America for tolerating homosexuals, whom he likened to "dirty dung-eating dogs." For Americans who "truly love such dogs," Moon said, "they also become like dung-eating dogs and produce that quality of life."

Your party held an event to honor this man. In addition, before Bush took office the Unification Church held a prayer breakfast to honor the incoming president.

You are a very hypocritical person lacking in character and honesty.

4. The only problem is that the Moon "coronation" was bi-partisan...
from this amazing article in Salon;
http://archive.salon.com/news/feature/2004/06/21/moon/

On March 23, the Dirksen Senate Office Building was the scene of a coronation ceremony for Rev. Sun Myung Moon, owner of the conservative Washington Times newspaper and UPI wire service, who was given a bejeweled crown by Rep. Danny K. Davis, D-Ill. Afterward, Moon told his bipartisan audience of Washington power players he would save everyone on Earth as he had saved the souls of Hitler and Stalin -- the murderous dictators had been born again through him, he said. In a vision, Moon said the reformed Hitler and Stalin vouched for him, calling him "none other than humanity's Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent."

And here's another description of the event linked in the Salon piece:
