New conservative tactic against Kerry

I've never seen this tactic before. How far will they reach? A google search shows these are actually Bush/Quayle quotes. Is this a new thing?

But since the moderators obviously can't keep up with the volume of posts, a lot of name calling doesn't get noticed. (And I think most people can probably handle it anyway and don't object too much.)

The funniest way of dealing with a troll I have seen was on AlFrankenWeb. A new topic got posted by a troll, so two regular posters starting talking about sports, card games and other unrelated things. I laughed so much that I decided I had to become a member. (I believe one of those regulars over there goes by the name of sniffa here. Thanks for that one, it made my day.)

4. They did it against Gore

I suspect this is a Rove operation. They take well known stupid quotes from Republican idiots like Quayle and tack a Democrat's name to them. When I get an email like this, I reply all with a refutation and hopefully have a Snopes link to attach, or at least a link to the actual quotes by the Conservative Idiot du jour.

This kind of lying email is pervasive and, unfortunately, it spreads very quickly among the uncurious. These people must desperately want to believe that theirs isn't the party of the chronically, genetically stupid no matter how overwhelming the factual evidence may be.
