It was like..."The Democratic Underground Show" or something. He had Katrina Vanden Heuvel and Marc Maron of Air America...and NO right wingers to "balance" the show. Just two great liberals, presenting a nice liberal tone to the show. I couldn't believe what I was seeing....usually, it's some right wingers and a wishy washy quasi liberal person on "balance" ala "Hannity and Colmes"

2. Not last night
but sometime last week. McEnroe read some of his hate-mail. It was from Republicans and freepers who said they wouldn't watch his show anymore now that they learned he was a liberal.

3. WOW!!! Sorry I missed that one & I'm gonna see if there's a repeat
thanks for the heads up - I'll be watching from now on. Hope lots of other people will be too.

And if he's been getting hate mail already, he's sure to get more after last night!

5. Guess they need someone to offset that idiot Dennis Miller
.. it's hard to watch McEnroe IMO, but if his show is left-leaning, maybe it is worth a look!

8. Yeah, I watched it - kind of boring and insipid.
Just the opposite from the Dennis Miller show, which is a bigger joke.

18. What is it that you don't understand about Dennis Miller
being a bigger joke than John McEnroe?

Dennis Miller is boring and insipid, and I never implied that he was the opposite of boring and insipid.

In other words John McEnroe is no ball of fire either.

10. That's what we need
A good liberal foot soldier. We have tons of great liberal thinkers, but few liberal FIGHTERS. McEnroe is definitely a fighter.

20. Take us back to the 19th century?
Would that be where women are only talked about in terms of their fuckability?

Wow, that would be so different from now. :eyes:

12. McEnroe has always been more favorable to Liberal causes
He campaigned against Guliani and for Cuomo. He was described by Jimmy Connors in the early 80's as the most Liberal American tennis player (and Connors was fairly liberal at the time, he campaigned against Reagan.) So I'm not surprised.

Provided the network gives him time. So let's email or support! Nice to follow up the lying, vomit-inducing scuzzbag whore Miller with some friggin' TRUTH and sincerity - even if it is McEnroe's caustic brand!!

15. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.
They haven't done any advertising for it at all. I remember before Dennis Miller's show started, they were advertising all over the place for it.

28. I love that John McEnroe. He will not be intimidated by ANYONE.
He's a typical New Yawker. I hope the show satys on the air. The critics trashed the first show he had (It was kind of bad). Hopefully - it was just a temporary slip-up.
