I think this postponing the election idea is a trial balloon |
|
Chimpy/Rove/Cheney wanted to test the waters.
Now that they see how violently Americans reacted, they now have to resort to another plan.

9. Considering the freepers were reacting pretty much like us |
|
except they were saying it was a LIBERAL trial balloon, I would say the reaction has been pretty negative.

:wtf:  :silly: :wtf:
The Imperials control THE ENTIRE GOVERMENT AND MEDIA! These fucking MONSTERS are insane. They would believe 1 + 1 =3, if their Bushevik masters decided to sell it to them.
They are as disconnected (purposefully so) from their humanity and simple reality as Nazis.
Sure, they aren't as violent and not overtly racist, but with "Two Minute Hate" minds like theirs, they could be actiavted by Goebbels v2.0 at any time. And if they could be guaranteed to get away with their ci=riminal acts, like the KKK in 1935 in the South, they would start the beating and murders immediately.
This is just further proof.
I HATE the Totalitarian Mind, be they Nazis, Commies, or Busheviks!

I've been posting on Yahoo the past two days, and people were talking about an uprising in the works.

|
so that when chimpy is behind double digits the last week of October and a "credible threat" is "discovered" they can declare martial law as the "only method open to them" to "protect the election".

1) they are testing the waters to see how people would react to the idea. 2) they are testing the media to see if they would question it or be complacent.

12. I agree, said so yesterday |
|
actually, I said the biggest, ugliest trial balloon I'd ever seen.
And the scariest thing is not that we might need to cancel an election because of terror attacks. The scariest thing is that I believe they had this all prepared as an organized trial balloon project. They have been dreaming about this for months, and used Mr. Soares as a convenience.
and even worse--There are 2 parts to the trial balloon. These a-holes are totally dedicated to the idea of pre-emption. They would want plans to cancel the election IN ADVANCE of a feared terror attack. Therefore, we don't even need the terror. Just Ridge or Cheney standing up and saying "There is no doubt..."

13. I think is is calculated to reduce turnout in large cities - yes I think * |
|
is that cynical. Large cities are heavily Democratic for the most part. If enough fear of a terrorist attack is raised during the election turnout could be depressed enough in some big cities to swing a close state to Bush.

After watching the documentary last night, "Unprecedented - The 2000 Presidential Election", I was shocked at how Bush&Co/Jeb/Katherine Harris all conspired to win the election. It was like Moore's film, all the pieces just fit together and lots of facts presented to prove the point. The election process in FL was rigged from the beginning.
Do we really think that this mastermind scheme will not be played out again, in some form or another, with this election?
I highly recommend going to see or renting that documentary before this election.

15. I don't think so. I believe the plan is already underway. |
|
It started with Ridge's recent announcement that there are chatter terrorism indications of an intent to disrupt our elections. Turns out (according to a Dem. congress person---is it Jane Harmon?) that that information was the SAME information that was bandied about six weeks ago. There were no new indications at all.
Bush is the one who set up the U.S. Elections Commission after he took office. He then appointed the chairman of it. I believe it's purpose was secretly designed at that time.
Now they will use fear to get SOLE AUTHORITY (ring a bell?) for the holding of the elections into the chairman's hands. The chairman says he would not delay the election unless there's an actual attack. But then, once given the authority, he would delay the election if there's mere "credible evidence" of a likely attack (which Ridge has already stated there is). Just like when Bush was given sole authority for Iraq War, with the promise he'd use it only after certain conditions were met. But once given the authority, he basically just went to war as soon as the military was lined up.
I fear that this is a plan already in progress. If Bush's numbers are looking good at the end of October, however, they won't need to use it.

18. Trial Balloon or Diversion |
|
They don't have to cancel the elections, just post cops out in front of every polling place for protection. How many people will turn around and go home if there is a cop checking your id at the door?
By raising the issue, they now have the cover to take protective steps and scare people away from the polls.

They will keep suggesting elections could be postponed then rejecting the idea over and over again until the majority either WANTS the election postponed or thinks it is inevitable anyway.
Eventually the majority will become sick of being outraged and will just give in.
That is how they expect this to go, and I would be surprised if they didn't attempt it.

It could also be a distraction to throw us off the course of something else entirely. The way I see it is they have plan abcdefghijk, they're ready and willing to use one or all of them if need be. I'm 100% convinced these people (cough) have NO intention of leaving this WH no matter what. Expect anything and everything including marshall law.

witness several days ago, Tom Ridge or Espy Fuferhauser Jr. or whatever his name is... "We need to look into what the procedures would be for postponing or cancelling the presidential election"
Yesterday (Condi) "There's all these rumors about postponing or cancelling the election. No one is talking about postponing or cancelling the election"

30. Obvious trial balloon....I was thinking the exact same thing today |
|
Anybody who can't see through this is blind. They know the will have to get congressional approval to stop the election and they want to see if they will be able to mobilize support to get the legislators to act--the way with did with the campaign to invade Iraq. They have talked about this for several weeks over the course of the year to try to change opinions.
The "Al Qaeda wants to stop our elections" mantra is a red herring for their planned thievery.

31. The standard Bush trial balloon goes thus: |
|
Step #1 Propose something clearly outrageous and unacceptable -- in this case the executive branch being empowered to cancel the election of its own possible replacement.
Step #2 Wait for the uproar.
Step #3. Propose something that reaches the same ends as the original, or nearly so, but by other, less controversial means. Settle for 75% of all hell breaking loose, in other words. I expect some mechanism that gives the power to move elections to Congress (Rep. Senate, Rep. House) and its leaders.
Step #4 Nation breaths a sigh of relief, that such a crazy idea as the original was ever floated, and gratefully swallows the substitute.
Step #5 Bush now has what he wanted all along, plus the benefits of appearing 'thoughtful', and 'statesmanlike'.
This cycle has happened on every tax cut. The Junta have it down to a science.
Wait for the 'improved' 'compromise' version,
