I mean these motherscratchers are going to be a huge job all by themselves. These guys are either all idiots or they are corrupt. Whatever the deal is Kerry is going to have his hands full cleaning out this rats nest. No shit. Same thing goes for the FBI.

1. May not be that hard
He needs to get the political hacks out of leadership positions and get the professionals/career types back in charge.

3. I agree. Without Cheny et al trying to lead our intel people by the nose
they may actually get some work done.

Still, Kerry is going to have to restructure the program so that it works together better (not like Homeland Security) and he will have to get more human intel agents trained up. Like it or not, regardless of today's technology we still need human spies.

2. That's why they're getting someone that Dems agree with now...

The ex-CIA guy from Florida or Richard Armitage? They've already gotten them approved in the media...Both are Repub pigs.

4. What about Homeland Security
Shrub created a whole cabinet level department that will be loyal to the far-right and the shadow gov't instead of the president.

We are in trouble for decades to come.

5. Agree. I think "defusing" the ideology from the CIA, FBI and DOJ will be
a handful. Include the State/Pentagon battle regarding foreign policy in that assessment, too.

What do you call it when objectivity flies out the window?

6. Army intelligence is in need of a good scrubbing too.
There's altogether too many right wing fanatics and they need to be thinned out.

7. The CIA is pretty much as competent as it always was and always will be!.
CIA analysts were put under intense political pressure to justify a decision already made public by a corrupt administration. Tenet should absolutely have resigned. All this talk about "mindsets" and "groupthink" is garbage. The Dems are trying to hide their unbelievable laziness in not reading the reports. And their cowardice in supporting their vote for war. The Repubs are trying to hide their authorship of the NIE that "justified" the war in the first place.
