We are not going to forget about our brave men and women in Iraq and get sidetracked on this.
Other Constitutional ammendments can be added to this ammendment. So now we are a Constitutional Congress?

2. I think this one is going to separate the "cons" from the "fascists" |
|
I'm looking forward to the vote, which most people won't think will pass -- for my own political agenda.
The will of the people is not behind this. Though 55 percent of Americans support the amendment, 67 senate votes, or 2/3 is needed.
Going beyond the gay marriage issue itself, is which senators are willing to social engineer the Constitution for the religious right. It could be said, that the "yea" votes represent, once and for all, that the small-government, states' rights Republican party is dead, and will illustrate to what extent the GOP has sold out their principles to the principles of religious corpo-fascism -- the authoritarian Big Brother of the Right.
That's my spin, and I'm sticking to it.
Durbin is rocking out, definitely!!!:)
