George W. Bush is just not evil enough to trash this country.
Please God! Please God! Let this be true! I've lived through some terrible Presidents and I refuse to believe that GWB would trash this democracy to gain another 4 years. At this point in time, I just will not allow myself to believe it. I will continue for awhile to hope for the best...even from him. If I am wrong about this, I will be on the street and I will be in despair because if he can do it, anyone with a brain could do it better.

PS. I think that most of the country feels the way I do.

2. George'll make a believer out of you yet.
I believe that George and his band of penpushing thugs would do whatever they had to to remain in power, whether it was the rigging of an election or the widescale murder of countless innocents. This notion that psychopaths and murders only become the leaders of OTHER countries is quaint, but unrealistic.

Sorry, Raven
I couldn't make myself believe he'd actually invade Iraq. Then, I couldn't believe he'd follow through with Shock and Awe. He is that evil, honest.

3. I don't know he seems pretty evil to me
anybody who would intentionally lie to start a war which has killed and maimed thousands of people--our own and theirs--is in cahoots with the devil.

4. He's a PINO
President in Name Only. Bush would be King if he could get away with it.

In fact, I call his minions "monarchists" rather than Republicans. Their love of issuing edicts, and even more insane need for secrecy than Richard Nixon, make them anything but traditional Republicans.

6. Now we are talking about the worst possible thing
that he could do to his own country. I know that he has done terrible things to other countries but this would be shitting the bed.

15. "so lazy he'd poop in the bed and kick it out with his feet!"
I heard this comment about Bush from an elderly neighbor (I think it's an Irish folk expression). I laugh just thinking about how true that is!

7. Selection 2000 trashed this democracy rather soundly
and it gained him 4 years.

It's possible and all the more probable because it's already happened before.

9. These people STOLE an election!
They are capable of anything and are evil, horrible people. They will do everything in their power to stay in power.

10. Not only...
is he evil enough to ruin this country, he is also incompetent enough to ruin it even more. As to most of the country having the same sentiments, I would hope that about 60 percent of the country is able to wake up to all of this before the elections. I do, however, put little hope in this...I still think we can win the executive and legislative branches, and that may just be enough.

12. He's already trashed it, Raven.....
He invaded another country illegally and under false pretenses on top of that. And we have lost respect and credibility around the world. Also, he has taken the largest surplus in history and given us the largest deficits. We will not grow out of them as we did in the 1990's unless we are very lucky and have something similar to another technological revolution. I don't think it is about to happen. We are up the proverbial shitcreek without a paddle, already.
